All About PES University Electronic City, Bangalore

Overall Rating
The overall experience is good here at PES University. If anyone who does not got colleges like top IITs and top NITs as options, then one should definitely go for the top private colleges like PES University. The thing that made me chose PES University is that it updates the syllabus and curriculum according to the industry needs every year. The placement stats at PES University are wonderful.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Tech CSE here as it is the best here and also it is inclined towards my interest in computers. The exams accepted here are PESSAT (which is discontinued from 2025), JEE MAINS, KCET and Management Quota. The cutoff for JEE MAINS will be around 95-96 percentile for CS in EC campus. The cutoff for CSE at EC campus is around 6000 in KCET. The exams that are organised here are 2 mids and 1 final semester in each semester.
The tuition fee at PES University for PESSAT or JEE MAINS quota is Rs. 5,00,000 per year and Rs. 1,50,000 for KCET quota per year. Top 5 % students get 50% refund and next 20% students get 40% tuition fee refunded as Scholarships based on CGPA.
 

Faculty Rating
At PES University, many faculties for my course are well qualified with Ph.D and master degrees. Some professors are even from BITS Pilani and some are from other top institutes of India. The background of faculties is mostly research oriented with Ph.D degrees. They mostly use ppts and green boards provided in the classrooms and some faculties do not even hold chalk and just read the slides. Some professors at PES University are exceptional in their field of teaching. Student teacher ratio is good here.
 

Placement Rating
The placements at PES University are great. The average package overall for B.Tech is 12 LPA and for CSE it is 17-18 LPA. The highest package is 55 LPA and lowest is 3 LPA. Around 75 percent students get placed out of 2000 students. 500 students got 12+ LPA packages here. The big companies including Apple, Microsoft, JP Morgan, IBM, PhonePe, etc. visit here for recruiting students.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels at PES University are well equipped with clean rooms with beds for 4 students. Good Wi-Fi facility is provided here. Hot water is provided in all bathrooms. The food here is very good even warden eats along with us. Mess menu has good variety of food. PES University has separate hostels for girls and boys. Fee including all is about Rs. 1, 50,000 per year. The closing times are 10 PM for boys and 7 PM for girls. It is overall nice experience with enough freedom.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is very well equipped and well maintained at PES University. Libraries here have more than 20,000 books (including e-books) and many research journals. The sports facilities are top notch with very good basket ball court, TT court, badminton, indoor, gym, carrom boards, chess, cricket grounds, volley ball, and football grounds separately. The PES University has a hospital inside it, and there are 5 canteens which are affordable. The campus is of around 50 acres. I love the sports complex the most here.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life at PES University is good but hectic because of its tough curriculum and hard exam procedure. There is enough free time to be utilized. There are 2 fests happening every year. Different events are conducted here almost every day like club events, hackathons, etc. The Maaya Cultural Fest is amazing that is continued for 3 days with many events. There are more than 30 active clubs for students but the life here is a bit hectic for an average student because of its tough exams and evaluation.

    PES University always has a brand of its own, considering its beautiful infrastructure in all its campuses. PESU campus in electricity is very big, it has a full on cricket field and a badminton court right in the middle of the campus, since this campus is considered to be a medical campus, the PES hospital is directly connected to one of the medical blocks....     I am currently a 2nd year CSE-AIML student at PES University. It has been a great experience so far. The lecturers teach well and clarify doubts as well. The sports and extracurricular activities must be improved but the fests are amazing. There are regular events on campus including fun quizzes and open Mics very often. Cleanliness is maintained properly here. Canteen food is nice and the menu is also good and inclusive. Hospital is also available on campus. Parking facility is also decent.... Read Full Review
