Hello, I am in second year of Engineering in Information Technology from Vidyalankar Institute of Technology. What made me chose this institute for engineering is its placement record and infrastructure. Institute provides great amenities and facilities. Labs are cleaned and maintained. Institute is well organized and every student has a mentor to whom he can connect if he is facing some issues. Institute doesn't put academic pressure on student it is pretty flexible. When we exit from institute gate there are buses and taxi standing for going to station. So student doesn't have to struggle much. Institute always appreciates and encourages us to work on our innovative ideas other than academics. Many workshops are held with industrial people to get knowledge about industry. Faculty is supportive, well qualified and knowledgeable. You will have great institute life and also career excellence.

So for my course, cutoff was 95% tile in MHT-CET. More practical work is prioritized. Institute gives more opportunities to develop our skills other than academics. Every subject passing criteria is 40%. We don't have to purchase any book from outside. Faculty provides proper notes and guidance for academic purpose. Reading rooms are also available here for group studies. If you don't have any KT then you can apply in various committees of student. You can also get admission through institute level. By seeing the records of I.T department and because of my keen interest in software development I chose this program.

Faculty is supportive. Any teacher even if they are not teaching you and you ask them for help then they gladly help. Even they guide us for projects other than academics. Many faculties write research paper with students. They try to give some meaningful assignment rather than written assignment. They are punctual and knowledgeable. They are well updated with industrial trends so they try to make us industry ready. Faculty not only completes the academic syllabus but also organizes guest lecture to help us explore and know that subject more.

The placement cell is well organized. Every division of each branch has placement coordinator. They often organized the aptitude test for practice. Our seniors pass out last year have got placed in many good companies like TCS, Jio Reliance, Wipro, Work Application and many more. Institute even provides various internship opportunities in IIT Allahabad, IIT Mumbai, Oil Corporation, etc. Highest package of our branch is 35 lakh per annum by Work Application which is a Japanese company. The average package is 3.5 to 4 lakh per annum.

No hostel is provided, but there are many PG available nearby.

Infrastructure of institute is big and somewhat unique. It is divided in blocks. For our IT department there is E - block, for first year there is D block and many more blocks are there. Every floor has 2-3 washrooms present and water filters are also present. Auditorium is so big with capacity of 200 students. 7th floor is for Masters students. Then there are 2 canteens present and a stationary is also there. Washrooms are cleaned time to time. There is also a Nescafe in the campus.

Institute life is good like not much academic stress. No stress of KT as student can easily pass the exams. Attendance is not that strictly required. Faculty is chill. Den is there for student relaxation. Reading room is there for group studies. Lost and found department is there. Events are organized on every festival. Garba nights, Freshers and many other fests are organised there. Many student clubs are present in the institute. Overall students can freely enjoy their institute life.
