IIFT is counted or listed in the top management schools of the country and there are enough reasons for that. I will list most of them as memories of IIFT will never erase from my system. I thought IIPS had the best campus life ever before I came to IIFT. Once I came here, I made it clear to all those I know that IIPS has the best campus life in Indore but to have the best campus life in India, come to IIFT. The course is hilarious as students of B. Com background will always be behind the 8th ball. The reason for that is we never studied maths in B. Com and IIFT has maths as one of its main subjects. To evaluate valuations of business and percentage terms, I had to sit beside some of the coolest engineers of our batch with whom I shared a symbiotic relationship. They used to teach me maths and I used to teach them a bit of economics and statistics. There was no boys and girls inside the campus as the library would remain open 24*7 and both boys and girls could do combine studies. So, the college was something that taught us corporate culture well in advance.

I have eaten up most of the words for this part in my overall section as the college had the best campus life ever but it never came at the expense of studies. Even if in those two years, there were 25 hours, I would have still been behind the 8th ball in academics. Not just me but 75% of the students as studies would ever end. Most of us used to sleep on our study tables as even we didn’t realise when did we slept. This was the level of academics at IIFT.

Even if write an entire review on the, it would still be less. If college was cool, they were the coolest and if college is decorated, then faculties were the ornaments with which the college is decorated. Management studies are all about skills as the books won’t help us survive in jobs but our instinct will. Hence, the top quality that they instilled in all of us was being instinctive.

FMCG sector has always been the hot favorite of IIFT. I saw the placements of my seniors as well and even they got placed with top MNCs FMCG companies that operate in India and we too had the same kind of opportunity. Placements were such that even IIM students will have a scare on why did they joined IIM when IIFT can provide similar or rather international placements. Greed doesn’t have a synonym but in terms of placement one can be greedy at IIFT as one offer letter is like we have underperformed. The students who got placed had multiple offer letters. If I have to mention one negative than that would be that college didn’t has 100% placements.

For the first time in my life, I saw Co-ed hostels. In the first year, I stayed at the Co-Ed hostels and it was so much of fun that guys were not allowed on our floors but girls had no such restrictions. The entire hostel or the campus was ours because for two years it was our nest from where we could hardly fly. I didn’t care that I don’t have the wings to fly because when life was so amazing inside the hostels why would one even care to go out. The food was something that now I know the delicacies of entire country.

The campus was small without a doubt but had plenty in it to give us a new flare every single day. The canteen was small but provided food items that suited my palate. The buildings were ultra-modern as every new set of technology is installed at the campus from making smart class rooms to smarter class rooms. From nano technology ACs to single device multiple charging points. Some of the technology that I saw there, I haven’t seen elsewhere. The locality was awesome and being a foodie, I had access to many food joints that were quite close to the campus.

It will take a while to sink in because; at IIFT campus even the studies were fun. In short, we had everything for fun there. The classes were fun, the friends were funny and the festivities of the campus were super fun. Fun quotient was so high that I hardly missed Indore or my friends back home. I made so many friends at the campus and if I say the overall camaraderie or the equation that was there between the students, it is hard to find elsewhere. Imagine a place that had some of the most brilliant students from all parts of the country and still there were hardly any differences among the students. I hate to tell you what all happened at Quo Vadis as one wants to know what kind of fest it is, kindly work hard and get to IIFT.
