IIFT Delhi Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

I don’t have great shake about the infrastructure of IIFT but will give 11 on 10 to the location in which the college is located. Right next to the college was Sanjay Van and Hauz Khas restaurants were our savior on most occasions. The college had two eight floor hostels and a six-floor building that had everything. A huge conference hall, a discussion hall and probably the biggest auditoriums I have seen in my entire life. The classrooms are designed that encourages interaction as without breaking the neck one can see every other student in the class. There’s no restriction inside the campus as we can roam around and use every single facility of the campus at any point of time.

You just need a right companion and life will be super fun at IIFT. From Film Festival to Management Festival, everything happened at the campus. The annual cultural fest Quo Vadis need no mention as for three days, the college became a jam station. As soon as the sun disappeared, the party started and students, faculties everyone openly used to have alcohol inside the campus. We just had to keep some for the guards as well as we included them as well in our parties. The campus was small without a doubt but had plenty in it to give us a new flare every single day. The canteen was small but provided food items that suited my palate. The buildings were ultra-modern as every new set of technology is installed at the campus from making smart class rooms to smarter class rooms. From nano technology ACs to single device multiple charging points. Some of the technology that I saw there, I haven’t seen elsewhere. The locality was awesome and being a foodie, I had access to many food joints that were quite close to the campus.

It will take a while to sink in because; at IIFT campus even the studies were fun. In short, we had everything for fun there. The classes were fun, the friends were funny and the festivities of the campus were super fun. Fun quotient was so high that I hardly missed Indore or my friends back home. I made so many friends at the campus and if I say the overall camaraderie or the equation that was there between the students, it is hard to find elsewhere. Imagine a place that had some of the most brilliant students from all parts of the country and still there were hardly any differences among the students. The campus can be small as there were limited high-rise buildings and a garden to make evenings a little better with friends. In the name of games, there were 8-10 chess boards as the college considered that a mind-sharpening sport. I thought I was brilliant at chess until I played with my batch mates who could give even the top chess players a run for their money. The auditorium was smaller as I have seen larger auditoriums than this but was still better to have a nice sleep during the guest lectures. The resource center or the library of the campus had two to three laser printers so we could take as many printouts as we wanted if the edition of the book was less and demand was high.

One will forget jamming even at the best clubs of Delhi as the jam sessions of IIFT were bigger and better than that of any disc or pubs of Delhi. If you have prepared and studied hard, you were welcome at all the jam sessions that happened on campus. The annual fest Quo Vadis was a hardcore party thing that will put any rave party to shame.
