My experience at Shyam Lal College

Overall Rating
Overall, it's a very good college and it has all the facilities such as library, canteen, playground, public area and many more. The teachers are very friendly and helpful, and you can ask your doubts anytime you want. The fee structure is low because it is a government college. The college is accredited by NACC and the ranking is B+.
 

Academics Rating
You can pursue B.Com in this college and the annual fee for the course is Rs.12000/- per year. If you choose B.com then you can also prepare for CA or continue your higher studies.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers are very good, well-educated and graduated from reputed colleges. They are helpful to an extent that they are ready to solve your doubts anytime you want. All professors have their own teaching styles, for instance, some like to teach orally while others prefer that the students write notes, and some provide handwritten notes.
 

Placement Rating
The Placements are nice. The placement package goes from 4 LPA to 8 LPA and many well-known companies visit the college like Wipro, HCL, etc. You will get placed according to your skills.
 

Hostel Rating
It does not have a residential facility but there are many PGs available near the college that you can rent.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Shyam Lal College (Evening) has two buildings, one is new and the other one is old. The old building has four floors and the new building has two floors which are well-furnished and have good benches and blackboards. There are also two computer labs, two libraries that have all the course books.
 

Campus Rating
Fests are held on the regular basis and this college has around 50 societies more than 50 which organises different fests in the span of 1 month. Some seminars are organised and some societies also take students to visit industries like Coca-Cola SEBI.

    Shyamlal College Evening is a good college. Rating it out of 10, I will give it 7. The college has a lot of greenery and its best if you're pursuing any professional course (CA, CMA, CS, and CFA). Attendance is not important as it just contains 11 marks out of 160. The seniors are helpful. Most of the students are from Delhi and neighboring states. South Indians can have problem coping up.     Shyam Lal College is a good college to pursue higher studies. The teachers are qualified. There is a hockey ground, Volleyball court, etc. Its classrooms are well maintained.     I am a student pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Political Science. SLC New Delhi is great college and has a beautiful campus with huge grounds & several sports to play.
