Overall Rating
Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College is a reputed college in Punjab. It is located in Ludhiana, Punjab. The College is aided by government of Punjab, which means college gets funds from government and run by a private organization (which is Nankana Sahib Education Trust). The college offers B.Tech engineering in CSE, IT, ECE, ME, CE, and EE. It also offers diploma, MBA, PhD, Polytechnic, and B.Com in many disciplines. College also has Architecture department where students get B.Arch degree of 5 years.
 

Academics Rating
The academic curriculum is more traditional than it should be. The syllabus focuses more on theoretical knowledge than the practical knowledge. As far as it comes to learning, students can learn a lot. Exams are easy and predictable, so clearing exams are easy.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of the college is flexible, extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. Professors and staff are approachable and are willing to help the students. Teachers guide you in your career and help students with higher studies. If you really want to understand concepts or prepare for competitive exams, you have to do self-studies.
 

Placement Rating
Placements and internships are good in Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College as compared to many other colleges in the state. Many big companies come to college offering decent package (5-15 LPA), where average is 5.5 LPA. Companies offering jobs may or may not offer internships as well for the junior year students. This can be paid or unpaid internships.
 

Hostel Rating
There are 4 boys’ and 1 girl’s hostel in Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College. The infrastructure is pretty decent.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has 2 GYMs; one for boys and another for girls, sports complex, open-air theatre, basketball court, hockey ground, football grounds, swimming pool, departmental libraries, centre library, and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 700 people. Everything is available but do not expect something very lavish or luxury. Everything is pretty basic and average. Canteen and other food courts are also available here.
 

Campus Rating
Your campus life totally depends on your friend circle. There are common places to hang out with friends. So make good friends. There are a number of clubs and activities that you can do in the evening like Gidda, Bhangra, Football, Basketball, and Badminton, go for swimming or study in library or simply chill at canteen with your friends.

    GNE is one of the most prestigious engineering institutions in northern India. It has the best infrastructure and labs in the entire region. Its infrastructure is much better than other private institutions in the region. It has 88 acres of lush green campus. It has an alumni home as well. Overall, it is best engineering college....
