My experience in Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology Sultanpur

Overall Rating
KNIT Sultanpur is one of the top institutes in AKTU with great ranking. It is present on the river bank so you will have a great environment, and is has greenery everywhere. Its average package vary branch to branch, CSE has maximum package of 21 LPA in 2023. I have personally chosen this institute due to the alumni background.
 

Academics Rating
Courses that are offered here are Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electronics Engineering in B.Tech. You could also prefer M.Tech and MCA. For B.Tech you have to qualify for JEE Mains and have descent percentile for general up to 94, for OBC 90+ and for SC & ST 70+ percentile. It has 75 percent criterion so you have to score 75% in 12th if General & OBC and for SC & ST 65 % or more. For admission you have to participate in UPTAC counseling.
 

Faculty Rating
Every faculty is good and will support you in every situation some guest faculty are also present in our institute. Every professor will teach in both Hindi and English so you will not face any problem if your English is weak. Every professor is well qualified and has done their Ph.D from reputed institute like NITs and IITs also. Every professor will be nice to you and will support in every problem.
 

Placement Rating
Yes our institute has its own placement cell that really helps students in every field of placement. Previously more than 70 students got placement in various companies on campus and some of the students from off campus.
 

Hostel Rating
There are more than 10 hostels in our institute. Every hostel has capacity of 200 to 300 students. You will enjoy the hostel life because 1st year students will be allotted separate hostel, form 2nd year you will be with seniors. Mess is very good, will provide good foods, if you like non-veg then you are welcomed here as every Sunday and Wednesday you will have non-veg in dinner.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It is one of the oldest institutes so do not expect a good infrastructure but it has descent infrastructure. It has separate blocks for different departments but in same building, so you don’t have to run here and there. Academic block is separate and currently it is under renovation. There is a very less distance from hostel to academic block so it’s easy for the students to travel.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus is concentrated in small area and most of the part is covered with forest. Every year Antragini fest is held here and everyone can participate in it. On regular basis events are held here and 1st year students also gets chance to participate. Recently I have participated in ARTEMOSPHERE; it is based on face painting.

    KNIT Sultanpur is an autonomous institute. It has average infrastructure, hostel and very excellent professors and faculty. It has good environment, it has better placement opportunities and co-curricular activities than other institutes in AKTU. The seniors are very good and they guide what to do.     Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology is a very good college as it is ranked 2 among all AKTU colleges. It is situated near Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.     Overall, I would like to say that it is a decent institute. My experience in the institute till now is very good. I am pursuing B.Tech in IT branch from here and it has a good academic environment.
