My Journey in Nowgong College (Autonomous)

Overall Rating
The reason I chose Nowgong College is that it is near my house (about 3 KM away). It is the best college in the middle Assam. Currently I am in 5th semester and for me, the experience is quite memorable here. I recommend this college because it is recognized by NAAC with A+ grading.
 

Academics Rating
To be eligible to enroll in this college, you must have 12th pass certificates with above 60% from respected board. The Science stream is divided in 5 separate departments (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Math). Students from many adjacent states are here to study and build their career.
 

Faculty Rating
In my Physics Department, there are 5 teaching and 3 non-teaching staffs present. Four of our professors have doctoral degree from recognize institutes. They all are well experienced in the teaching field. The laboratory assistants always help students in their practical work. Professors provide us notes from many sources and almost 25+ lectures are available in a week.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell is not available in Nowgong College.
 

Hostel Rating
I have not availed hostel facility but I have little knowledge about it. The hostel is separate for boys and girls in campus. No one is allowed to go out without permission after restricted time. Good quality food is provided.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is not very huge because it is situated in middle of town. The departments are divided in different buildings according to their streams (Science, Arts, Commerce, etc). All the departments have classrooms, lab, and departmental library. The central library is also present in the campus. The buildings are upto maximum of 3 floors. The college office and principal room, other staff's rooms are also separate. Canteen in the college is also good. There are many huge trees present in our college campus. Seating area is available to spend break time.
 

Campus Rating
Except class time, Nowgong College campus is very crowded and it gives you a good vibes. I have not seen any quarrel in the campus. The college fest is held every year in the month of September and popular singers are invited to perform. Cultural rally and sports competition are held every year where there is a competition between departments.
