Overall Rating
Shyam Lal College is the best college in Shahdara district. It has good campus with large playgrounds. Unlike other off campus colleges, it has good atmosphere. There are variety of plants and flowers in the campus due to which it feels good in the college. Students are very friendly and welcoming here. There is also good atmosphere during elections.
 

Academics Rating
We get entry through CUET exam, which is conducted by NTA (every year). We have to choose subjects according to the course that we want to pursue in the college for example: if we want B.Sc, we should choose PCM. Cutoffs are not very high for this college. If you have decent marks in CUET, you can get entry in this college.
 

Faculty Rating
We can't underestimate faculty of this college because the teachers are unbelievable in their respective subjects ,with teaching to solving personal problems. Unlike other colleges there are very less chances that a class will cancel. Teachers are punctual , most of the teachers have researched at Universities abroad .teachers have good background in their respective subjects.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, it has placement cell, although I am not sure about the chances of getting a job.
 

Hostel Rating
It does not have a specific hostel. There are hundreds of PGs around the college with very good facilities at affordable prices.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It does not have a very large campus but it’s good. It has two building and a very good library with reading room. There is a canteen too, which does not have air conditioning, but food is good. It has a large football ground, a hockey ground, a volleyball court, and many others.
 

Campus Rating
Shyam Lal College offers good campus life. There is a tight security at the entry of the college. During elections, we get a chance to go to parties, clubs, water parks, etc. it has multiple societies including dancing, singing, acting, creative, and many others. It also organizes multiple fests and events.

    If you are coming to this college with the motive of studies then it is definitely good decision. Its Commerce department is best in comparison to other departments.
