Starex University BCA Review By Arun Rana

If I go a little philosophical a bit, then there are two ways of looking at the Starex University. Some will say the University delivers in the first few months of the semester and then takes a back seat, while others might say that they are always due. The due part never came as we had everything under our control before the exams and always prayed that we would get some extra mileage in terms of industry visits or seminars or workshops. Though nothing like such happened as the University is on an isolated island, that is one reason for some poor ratings and average placements. Unfortunately, these two things can't be changed now, but the University has controlled all the controllable. The University will ensure that all students get over the line as exams and all are quite easy here. The easiest, though, is the Starex University Admission process, as, within hours, you can get your admissions done here.

To get established in academics, established people are required. Starex has brought some of the established faculty to BCA, who in turn has taken care of the ordeal. Getting portions finished on time with four lectures a day was terrific. It was inevitable to get past those on Tuesday and Saturday practicals because missing them means you have lost a few numbers in internals by not attending them. Overall, attendance isn't that strict, but one can't even dream of missing them on Tuesday and Saturday. As a student, I knew I had to take care of a few things as most things would be taken care of by the University itself. So, the cushion or the comfort where you know you can grow academically will be provided by 'Starex University'.

Established names are a must because what experience can do, only experience can do. The University might be a recent one, but the faculty have enough experiences on earth to know how to engage students in classes. BCA is one course where classes determine the learning because one can't sit at home and learn things on his/her own. Faculties, therefore, begged students to come to the classes as there were a few students who joined the course for fun. BCA is not a fun course because a lot of technical things come to the fore, and that can only be learned by attending lectures and practicals. Faculties did their best, and serious students will only sing praises for them.

Starex University Placements can't even be called poor because they were terrible. Some 15-20 companies showed interest in BCA students but hired less than 10 out of 200, I guess. Even the students who got placed brought something extra on their own as the University hardly played any role in that. If the education part was not covered so well, I could have given up on placements. Yet, I was a regular student, learned all the tricks that were there in the arsenal of BCA and still couldn't find placements.

Starex University hostel buildings were great, and the food provided was great too. Since I was from Delhi, I couldn't stay at the hostel, but there were a few people who sang praises for the hostel right from the bottom of their hearts. To me, a hostel is something that never lets students get homesick, and at least the students I knew were pretty happy with the hostel facilities that were in place. So, the University has drawn attention to this part because the University location is too far from the main city.

The campus was situated way far from urban civilization and so it always felt like we were on an excursion to a village. The University was the star potential of the village in terms of Infrastructure. The buildings which were in numbers were amazing. The admin block and the lecture halls, and other facilities were also amazing. One can sneak into the sports ground or the recreational facilities to unwind. To satisfy hunger, there were a few food joints, and to have some fun, there was a student area where almost all the University societies had their meetings going on.

Starex University has star potential, but for that, they will have to start blank, because if the University couldn't place its students, then there's no point studying in such Universities. In terms of campus life, I had a great, or should an unforgettable time. The main building will always have students dancing or preparing for the events, which never ends. So, to a never-ending excursion of life, I would give the biggest thumbs up to the quality campus life that Starex University has provided its students with.
