My Views on Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped

Overall Rating
The biggest reason to choose this institute is that I am from Kanpur and this institute is around 4km. Institute is situated in the city and has an average government infrastructure with decent placements. The institute has two annual events, various clubs, tech society and a central library with books of every engineering subject. Institute also has smart classrooms and labs.
 

Academics Rating
I am doing B.Tech from CSE which I got from the JEE Main exam through the AKTU counseling portal. You must have qualified the JEE exam and have a rank according to your desired course to get the admission. There are various opportunities for CSE branch that's why I choose this. There is strength of around 75 students in each class.
 

Faculty Rating
There is a different faculty for different subjects. The teaching methodology is good but the classrooms and infrastructure is not well maintained. You can easily reach out to any of the faculty member anytime you want and they will surely help you. There are different assistants for lab and practical work also along with a counselor for students. Every professor is from engineering background and some are industry experts also.
 

Placement Rating
Institute offers placement from 7th semester. Various companies like HCL, TCS, etc. visits the campus and offers an average package around 3.5 LPA.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is average. It provides you a feel of government college. Classrooms are not very well maintained. Apart from that there is a ground, basketball court and badminton court. Apart from that there are also indoor games facilities in the institute. Institute has one academic building and every other thing is inside the academic building only.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is good there is complete strength for every branch. None of the branch has vacant seats. Institute has 150 seats for only CSE branch. There is an annual event known as Shankhnaad which is a 3 day event celebrated with a huge crowd along with DJ night and Sufi night. There are various tech and cultural activities also organised from time to time in the institute.

    When I first time came to AITH Kanpur for admission all the processes of admission mostly done smoothly and process of admission completed within 2 hours. I chose this institute because I wanted government institute with Computer Science & Engineering branch with low fee structure. All the other institutes are private.
