Overall Rating
Amrita is a well known Institute all over India because of its placement thus this made me choose this particular college. Knowing that the college is considered to be strict I was well prepared yet it was a bit disappointing with no enjoyment at all. Nevertheless having a bunch of good friends and some good faculties could make up for it. This particular Institute lacks entrainment but being in a department of visual media there are some events exclusively done for them.
 

Academics Rating
ASAS kochi offers various courses such as B.Sc in visual media, BCA, B.Des in communication design, MCA, B.Com, BBA, MFA, etc. The eligibility criteria for joining most of the courses are 12th grade certificate and an average of 55%-60% in main subjects, most of the students are taken in with an interview held by the respective faculties. There are some extra subjects for knowledge such as amrita value programs, environmental studies, mastery over mind (yoga), and Indian heritage. Extracurricular activities are comparatively less and sports are as equal to nothing.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are well certified and knowledgeable. They have a good way of teaching but some faculties are way too strict. Some faculties are really friendly and they treat all students really well. The director is really strict and is not much co-operative with the students. The faculties coming to class for visual media department is not so experienced as compared to other departments.
 

Placement Rating
Amrita is always famous for its placement thus most of the placements are promised yet our Kochi campus lacks a bit here. They do have placement cell and students are well placed.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is only available for girls and boys have to look for PG. Hostel life for girls are mediocre as there are some limitations for their safety. They need permission to just step out of the campus and hostel and need to wear specified clothes within the campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure in Kochi is not the best. Some buildings are actually converted from hospitals thus it gives a hospital vibe. There are less buildings and all are not the best looking. There is no separate building for each department and the buildings are not well maintained. Water facility and toilets are available throughout and are cleaned often. There is no such parking space that should be needed for a college. The campus is covered with trees and plants giving a nature vibe and it also has a temple inside.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is not that great if you want to enjoy your college life. It's is too strict but outside the college you can have fun. There are minimal fests organized. If you are an extrovert this college is not meant for you but being an introvert and a person who wants to study then you can choose this college. You cannot enjoy in this college much but can find people of your type to roam around and have fun.

    The Institute is well equipped with good faculties and infrastructure. Students opting for B.Des in Communication Design are offered special design labs. The labs are neat and are equipped with updated software’s. The Institute is good enough for students who can work hard for their future.
