I am Aditya, enrolled in ECE 2024-2028 batch. The overall review of mine about this university is average. If you have come mainly for studies, be very specific in choosing your friends, the teachers are helpful if you need them and they complete the syllabus on time. You are not burdened with thousands of assignments and a strict attendance policy. The infrastructure of the university is quite good with all the facilities available and accessible. It has a good sports environment and considerably good location. Overall you can achieve things if you are really dedicated and ambitious.

So in the first year, you have five subjects and three labs, you won't have to face strict 9-5 time here so if you can, you can dedicate these hours to improve yourself. Almost every day you will have an average of 4-5 hours of classes. The attendance policy is 75% but not strict, all manageable with minimal excuses. There are 7 branches for engineering namely, CSE, AIML, ECE, EE, ME, CE, and BT. All branches with a capacity of 60 students except CSE and ME with a capacity of 120 students. But in reality you will find about 15-20 extra students in each class. To get admitted you will need JEE exam result where you will easily get CSE for about 2.5 lakh, AIML up to 3 lakh, ECE up to 4.5 lakh, and in the lower branches you will get a chance even if you have passed 12th only.

The faculty members are mostly Ph.D holders of which rarely anybody is from a prestigious college. In the first year I found them almost regular, with better-than-average knowledge and teaching skills. But all they focus is on syllabus completion rather than actual teaching.

Yes, we do have a dedicated placement cell in our institute which is active a bit but honestly speaking I don’t have a lot of idea about the placement scenario here, as our college doesn't officially releases any, but our seniors say that they are better than expected (2-3 LPA), the top 10-15 students in top branches like CSE and AI are able to secure a decent 8 LPA packages and that too on their own mainly. Top mechanical students also get good jobs here.

Hostel facilities are available for almost all the students who apply for hostels, you get two seater rooms that is not too congested. But the hostel is not in very good condition, particularly due to students, whereas girl’s hostel is in quite good condition, you will get hostel in 8k for the entire year with 8k security money, and mess charge will be like 2.5k to 3.5k a month (1.5 to 2.5k for girls). You will get geysers in the bathroom (common bathrooms), wifi in hostel, other than that you will have to bring your mattresses, light bulbs, and other basic things by yourself. You have the student activity center where you'll enjoy indoor games, common room. etc., you won't find seniors ragging you ever; they are very supportive or neutral.

One big positive is the infrastructure of the university, well maintained, quite spacious, and well built, spread across 600 acres, a really nice library, all the departments spread all around, many beautiful parks and all maintained. There is a lot of greenery and a very nice sports infrastructure, a swimming pool, separate, wrestling, boxing, badminton and other sports and two big auditoriums. Overall you will be satisfied with the campus infrastructure.

You will be surprised to know that you won't find the college celebrating any major fest; neither will you get to experience an official fresher’s party, nothing much from the authorities. all you'll enjoy here is by yourself and your friends.
