I chose HICAS because it was the only college with B.VOC GD as a degree and the college campus was really great. I was trying to enroll into Hindustan Engineering College for AI&DS, but the cutoff mark was very high, so I chose HICAS. The department had been very approachable since the beginning hence I chose this department. Students can consider this college for admission.

There is not any entry requirement to B.Voc GD as the course is a blooming stream. Anyone who has passed their higher secondary schooling would be eligible to enroll in this course. It helps you learn many basic software like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Dimension. With these we could make digital paintings, create logos, make movie and advertisement posters, pamphlets, printing flex, etc. Also, many advanced software like maya, nuke, dimension and Adobe Premiere pro and other animation software with this we could create many designs and things.

The faculties, professors, and tutors are very friendly, even our department head is very approachable too. They have completed a Ph.D in their respective fields and even some new professors have very good teaching styles. Every faculty has their own style of teaching. As many faculty members stay in the boys’ hostel, it will be easier to study during semester exams. Tutors are funny and good. They would encourage us to participate in college fests, and there is an anti ragging committee made of staff members. They stop any ragging related problems faced by students at a hostel or college campus.

Yes, we have an exclusive Placement Cell in the college campus right next to the principal office. Students achieve their dream jobs by Placement Cell.

There are hostels for boys and girls known as Bharathiyar hostel and Kannagi respectively. Hostel life is great. Facilities like hot water for drinking and bathing are available. The fee structure varies according to the type of room you choose to take. The hostel menu is average, and the food quality is adjustable. We are provided with cots, two chairs, and a study table.

There are six academic blocks namely A, B, C, D, E, F and MAAC buildings. A-block is the main block as it has the principal office, fees payment counters, ATM, and a huge canteen made of four shops. B-block is a small block but a peaceful one with spacious classrooms and hangout spots outside with canteens, C-block has B.com and fashion designing department, this is one of the spots where banners are released and of course there is a canteen and a stationary store. D-block has language classes and a yoga hall, it's not a main building. E-block has the psychology department, and it is attached to the MAAC building. F-block is the most stylish one with an elevator, bridge in between, sitting area below and main banner release spot. It consists of many halls and one of which is to host dance and singing events, although it is good, but it does not have any main canteen. MAAC building is our department, and it is the best building with modern infrastructure and guards don’t allow anyone other than students of the particular department.

The canteens are the most crowded spots. We have a total of 6 to 8 canteens. These spots are crowded during break and lunch times. There are many clubs like the Lions club, Rotaract club, sports club, photography club, film club, sculpting club, animation club, etc. Talking about fests, they happen once a week or two. Some of the fests are Vibrance, Cryptinas, Royal Expo, Gameathon. Many other fests are held at the halls of F-block. We have two huge auditoriums both indoor and outdoor, outdoor auditorium holds concerts like Yuvan, Karthick and many other playback singers and indoor auditorium holds debate shows and auditions for TV shows.
