My experience in the Institute is quite good. To be honest, when I was in my first year, there were some restrictions like you cannot join any club or any other participation, etc. so our full time is utilized by study which was very good for me. Now in second year, when I joined the session, at that very moment all the restrictions were removed and now we can join any club, host any event, etc. It's very much exciting to continue the session now. Apart from these the factors that made me choose this Institute is after consulting with my big brother they told me that this Institute is the best in Chhattisgarh after IIT and NIT. For that reason I joined here and now I don't regret it. After giving my JEE exam, my result was not that much good so, after that I had given CGPET exam which is Chhattisgarh pre engineering test and after scoring good marks in that I opted BIT Durg for my bachelor's. When I came to this Institute my allotted branch was Information Technology and after scoring incredible marks in semester 1, I had got the opportunity to change my branch so I chose Computer Science and engineering specialization with Artificial Intelligence. After giving CGPET exam you have to fill the Institute list with specific branch you needed according to your preference but the Institute and course will be allotted based on your marks attained in CGPET. The Eligibility Criteria to take admission to this Institute is that you have to give CGPET exam which is Chhattisgarh pre engineering test and it's syllabus is same as JEE. According to the difficulty of exam, It is an intermediate level exam and after scoring good marks in this exam you can definitely take admission to this Institute. Frequency of exams of my particular course is semester wise. Total 8 semesters are there which breaks it to every year 2 semesters. Academics prepare me for my upcoming difficult challenges that I will face after graduating from this Institute. It teaches me about my ethics, discipline, motivation, etc.

The fees of my chosen course is Rs. 40,000/- per semester that means Rs, 80,000/- per year. The fee includes tuition fees and I am also a hosteller so for hostel fee is Rs. 80,000/- per year that means Rs. 40,000/- per semester too. Yes, there are some discounts for category students as I am in general category so I am not that much aware of this thing. Scholarships are available but I don't know that much about it.

Faculty members here are well graduated and well experienced. There way of teaching is nice. Some teachers are exceptional but overall the teachers are good in their teaching skill. Here most faculty members have graduated from IITs, NITs. Their method of teaching is through blackboard only but their way of teaching about the topics is different. Problem solving is not that much good. Some teachers are there who are good in this thing but not all teachers have good problem solving techniques.

Yes, there is a placement cell available in our campus which manages all the placement records and teaches students about the placement related information. Some companies like TCS, Cognizant, LNT, Ambuja cement Ltd., etc. Packages offered by companies are like 4 LPA to 11 LPA. But the average package here is 5-6 LPA.

Yes, there is hostel facility inside the campus. Boys hostel and girls hostel are totally separate. Boys hostel is inside the campus and girls hostel is outside the campus, some little distance from the campus. Hostel fee structure is Rs. 80,000/- per year that means Rs. 40,000/- per semester. Mess food is good enough to survive the graduation. To be honest, when the first year students are coming to visit the campus during their admission time then their parents also come with them and only that season mess food is made delicious. In first year, after 7 pm no students are allowed to go outside the campus. And in second year, after 10 pm no students are allowed to go outside the campus. Overall experience in hostel is obviously good because day by day relationship with the hostel mates are getting better and very much enjoyment is there when you are hosteller.

Now let's talk about the infrastructure of my Institute. My Institute consists of main central library and around it there are 4 blocks where different engineering courses are being taught. Police specialize Sports Complex for football, basketball and handball field cricket, net and there is also AICTE approved Central Government funded ideal lab playing an essential role for giving as opportunity of being selected in the sis hardware version of India. The campus is green and there is a huge central library which consists of more than 56,000 books from different domains and also for different competitive exam such as GATE, CAT, MBA, etc. Hostel accommodation: here are four different hostels for four different year students inside the campus for boys and outside the campus for girls. There is a canteen inside the campus that serves delicious food as well the classrooms can accommodate more than 60 students. The classes are air conditioned. Separate E Block has different seminar halls for different department. There is a big auditorium which can accommodate 500 humans. Auditorium for cultural activities like EDM nights and many more and Bhilai Institute of Technology Durg is cultural and Technical fest named Ojas. This is a Sanskrit word which means energy it held every year and it is a technical come cultural fest.

The overall campus life of Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg is totally worth it. Till now I have no regret to join this Institute. There are many fun activities and many clubs in the Institute like bull club, which performs Nukkad Natak, mine and many more cultural clubs as well as technical clubs like Astro club, technique techno hub club, Robotics club, and there are dance club and club for dancing and singing enthusiast. All these clubs come under the Grand club that is known as Vista club which is the overall umbrella club. Many Institutes in India have GDSC that is Google developer student club that is too available in our Institute.
