Overall Rating
My journey at SGSITS Indore has provided me with immense growth both personally and academically providing me a platform to explore diverse fields. It is one the most reputed institutes in central India and is well known for placement records, excellent faculty, and academics. It has a balanced curriculum, provides growth opportunities has a decent infrastructure, and a strong alumni network. It has an affordable education compared to most of the institutes.
 

Academics Rating
I enrolled in Mechanical Engineering and upgraded my branch to Electronics and Telecommunication after the first year based on my CGPA. The motive was pursuing a technology-driven course. One has to appear for JEE Mains and sit for MP DTE Counselling, candidates should have PCM as their subject in 12th. Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science conduct end semester and 2 mid-semester examinations. Attendance also plays a role in the final grading. The curriculum is updated regularly and is according to the latest industry standards.
The fees of all the branches (except IT and BME – Rs. 61,000 per semester) are Rs. 47,000 approx. per semester which includes the tuition fee, library, registration, examination fees, etc. Initial caution money of Rs. 5,000 is taken which is refunded after degree completion. The government provides scholarships for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS students. Institute also provides awards and scholarship to meritorious students
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science is well trained, experienced and are friendly. They are always ready to help even during examinations. Few teachers have a very special method of teaching making the subject very interesting for students. Teacher to student ratio is about 1:25. They bond with almost every student very well and treat everyone equally. Some teach using blackboard, some with smart board and some even take online class.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell is a highly organized and well-functioning body. It conducts career counseling sessions and skill development programs and also sends notifications about latest competitions and programs which is beneficial for the students. Placement process has PPT, online test, and personal interviews. Top companies are Goldman Sachs, MasterCard, Oracle, Nomura, Deloitte, Addverb, Asian Paint, Havells, Adani, Reliance, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
About 20% of students get the hostel based on their JEE rank. The occupancy is around 1000 students (600 boys and 400 girls). Fees are around Rs. 13,000 – Rs. 14,000 and the mess fess is around Rs. 17,000 per semester. The hygiene and room quality are great. Hostel students organize different events like Ganesh Chaturthi, Janmashtami, etc. Hostel provides a whole new experience to students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The institute is well-planned having different academic blocks for different departments. It has a separate library, gymnasium, cafeteria, auditorium, event hall, cricket ground, volleyball, tennis court, basketball court, sports complex, and Dining hall. Smart classrooms are available for a better learning experience. The institute is situated at the center of the city and is close to almost all the major spots of the city with excellent transport facilities. It has proper labs to provide practical knowledge to the students.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is a perfect combination of academics, extracurricular, activities, and growth. The institute crowd is diverse having students from different states. The crowd provides a healthy competition. It has technical clubs like automotive, robotics, aeromodelling and cultural clubs, sports clubs, entrepreneurship cells, and personal growth cells. Many workshops and events are being organized by these clubs giving a different atmosphere to the institute at that time. It has annual tech, cultural fest, annual sports meet, and festival celebrations.

    There is no doubt that SGSITS is the best engineering institute in Madhya Pradesh. The placement is very good. In some cases, it is also comparative to some NITs.     SGSITS is better than other institute in placement, academics, faculty, infrastructure, etc. The only reason to choose this institute is package, which attracts me the most.     Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science is Madhya Pradesh’s top government college. The campus is of 37 acres. Campus is full of greenery. For some students, campus might be small but it has various sports facilities such as basketball, football, volleyball court, and tennis courts.     It is one of the most popular and oldest institutes in MP. As it provides number of courses in which students can enroll. The campus is not so big but good enough with all facilities.
