Merit Based Scholarships are Offered by GCE Ratnagiri

If it’s about College experience, then it was good. Overall, campus, lectures, and events are very good. I chose this College because it’s Government Institution and at that time, I don't have any choice because cutoff was very high & this was new College so cutoff of this was slightly low. In the end, I am quite satisfied by part of this College.

Some notable aspects regarding my College (GCE Ratnagiri):
• Professors of the College conduct regular lectures & classes. All the topics of the syllabus are covered properly. PPTs and notes are widely used by the teachers.
• The fee of the College is affordable as it is a Government Institution. Also, the fee structure is different for students of various categories like Open, SC, and OBC. Here, a few merit based Scholarships are available as well.
• Google Developer Group at the Colleges conducts technical events and activities for the students. Other than that, Quizzes, sports fests, project competitions, and cultural programs are held as well.

MHT-CET scores / Diploma degree is needed for admission in this College. As I have mentioned earlier, at my time cutoff was low but it has increased. Admission process is completely online. You can also take admission through Management Quota. There was 1 mid-semester exam and 1 final semester exam. In addition, there was a practical exam and viva.

See I paid fees in a year wise pattern. When I took admission in direct 2nd year, I paid about Rs. 10,000/-. However, after that in 3rd and final year. I paid nearly Rs. 8000/-. Fees includes development, library, Wi-Fi, gymkhana, and other charges. For Open category students, fees was around Rs. 21,000/- to Rs. 23,000/-. For OBC category, it is around Rs. 8000/- to Rs. 10,000/-. For SC category students, the fee ranges from Rs. 500/- to Rs. 1000/-. Yes, scholarship was provided to students.

Teaching style of professors was good & they covered all the topics very properly. They took lectures everyday. They can use blackboards, PPTs, and also provide notes. They can solve student’s problems on time. My bonding with my faculty was very good. All the faculty members was supportive and they help us whenever we need them.

The Government College of Engineering Ratnagiri has a hostel facility. However, I don't know how it is as I was not a hosteller. Yes, girl’s and boy’s hostels are separate.

For each department, there was a separate building at the premises of Government College of Engineering, Ratnagiri. Separate classrooms, whiteboards, LED screens, and projectors are there in the classrooms. Campus size of the College was average. Classrooms and College sports ground was my favorite part of the College.

Overall, campus life was very good. There were so many students in our campus during the time of event. There was no clubs but there was a GDG (Google Developer Group). They organise many technical events. Sports activities, technical quiz competition, and project competitions were also conducted from time to time. Garba event was organized by the College gymkhana. My experience at the College campus was good.
