Heritage Institute of Technology: Campus Life and Facilities

So basically I study in Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. Our institute is located in the east Kolkata side, in Anandapur, Ruby area. The campus area of our institute is very good. It is pretty amazing and it is also large. There are many clubs in our institute. The thing I like the most about my institute is the library. It has very good infrastructure. They are also playgrounds in our campus. And if you come to hostels, then the girls’ hostel is inside the campus and the boy’s hostel is outside our campus. I am a day scholar so I don't know anything much about the hostels.

Heritage Institute of Technology is autonomous institute so the question papers were made by our faculties only and the faculties only check the answer scripts. They are a total 8 semesters for the B.Tech program in which each student must secure 163 credit points for the total 4 years of B.Tech. Otherwise the student will not get the B.Tech degree. That is no backlog is allowed for student, if a student fails in any subject then he or she must clear the backlog first otherwise he or she will not get the B.Tech degree. Most of the students in our institute have taken admission through WBJEE counseling. The management quota seats are limited in our institute.

in Heritage Institute of Technology the fees for total 4 years is Rs. 5,90,000 out of which Rs. 1,00,700 was already paid during the admission and rupees Rs. 69,500 is the Per semester fees that is for 2nd to 7th semester. And those who are TFW candidates their fees for 2nd semester to 7th semester each is Rs. 9000 only. Many students who are domiciled in West Bengal apply for the SVMCM scholarship by which one can get Rs. 60,000 per year.

I told that our institute is an autonomous institute so the faculties are very good. They help us a lot for our semester exams. Their behavior is also good. They teach us very well. They themselves made question paper for us for the semester exams and they only check the answer sheets. They provide notes and other materials for better preparation. If a student studies those notes and materials only, they can easily get 9 + CGPA in semester exams.

In Heritage Institute of Technology, the placement status for three consecutive years is around 80%. The average package is 4 LPA and the highest package till now is 52 LPA.

As I am a day scholar. I don't know anything much about hostels. The only thing I know is that the girl’s hostel is inside our campus area only. And the boy’s hostel is outside the campus.

The infrastructure of Heritage Institute of Technology is pretty good. It really looks beautiful. There are playgrounds inside our campus and I personally like the Library here. It is really well structured and also there are three canteens inside our campus. The canteens food is good. And there is only an auditorium in our institute which is in the CB building. There are two other buildings that are ICT and CME.

The campus life at Heritage Institute of Technology is very good. The campus is very big. No cultural fest is organised in our institute. However many clubs are present in our institute for dance, music, coding, robotics, etc. My experience till now in this institute is going good.
