Vartak College Vasai's Fee Structure and Scholarship Opportunities

As I stay in Vasai, the college is hardly 10 minutes from my house. It becomes very convenient for me, as there is no travelling. Other than that, I have known the college since my childhood as all my cousins has studied in the same college. Vartak College had the proper course that I needed to complete my graduation so I chased it. My overall experience until now in this college is awesome as we have many events organized here. Recently, we got the standup comedian show of Maharashtra bauxite state that the college takes efforts to make and give their students the best not only in studies but also in other curriculum as well.

The course that I have chased is an unaided course. The name of the course is B.Sc Biotechnology. It is of 3 years and consists of 6 semesters. Biotechnology is about the life sciences related to Genetics, Microorganisms, and has some technical knowledge as well. I find this course fascinating by its subjects. The entry requirement for this particular course is to fill the admission form of the college, which most importantly requires your 12th standard mask marksheet. In addition, online form is filled first. 50 %+ with PCB is the eligibility. Once the candidate is selected in the list, offline form is filled for the same. Online link is sent for fee payment. The academic prepare me for real life as well. Because whatever we do inside the laboratory. Everything is related to the real life. We daily have practical as we have 6 main subjects and 1 additional.

The fee for this particular course is Rs. 27,500 for 1st year and it increases by 1500 each year. Advantage is for students who come in the cast like SC, ST, NT, and OBC. Their fees are around Rs. 3,880 and Rs. 5,000, which also increases as the year changes. However, students can get those fees return back as well due to the scholarship Freeships that are given by MAHAdbt. Therefore, it helps students who are financially not stable.

We have in total 4 female teachers and one male teacher who is an HOD of our department. All the teachers are exceptional in their job. Everyone has a good knowledge about what they teach. Besides only teaching, we have sometime game session or quiz sessions as well. So we do not get bored during the lectures. Use of Ppts is also done by them .if the topic is complex. Therefore, they make it easy to understand. Our bonding with the faculty members got strong in the 1st year itself. That is the advantage of having awesome faculty members in your department.

I do not know much about the placement, which the college would give. However, when I applied for the course. Apollo, Cipla, and other pharmaceutical companies and Biotechnological companies are the recruitment given by this particular college. I still study in 2nd year so I cannot give much information about the placement and recruitment.

College offers mess facilities and other recreational activities as well. We have a great and wide area. Of course, there is a big garden and playground. As I stay 10 minutes away from the college, I never needed hostel and mess facilities. However, my friends who daily use all of these have given me good reviews. The toilets are clean.

We have 3 classrooms and 2 big laboratories. One of them is the seminar hall where all the necessary and big seminars are conducted by biotechnologists and doctors and other experienced people. Our laboratories are super clean. My favorite part of the department is my classroom and my department itself. Unlike other departments, only our students are there. Therefore, there are less people as our intake is only of 40 and there is less noise. So basically, I like everything about the college.

We have a huge campus, consisting of garden playground and a big area for just sitting. Friends can come in their break time and enjoy themselves. Other than that, we have different days in our college celebrated every December like saree day, tie day, traditional day, and Bollywood day lastly, and annual day. Therefore, events are never-ending. Everyone has his or her batches set, Therefore, we never feel it very crowded.
