My Journey in Annasaheb Vartak College

Overall Rating
I chose this College because of its reputation, affordable fee, good faculty, and strong curriculum. Apart from academics, they also focus on extracurricular activities. I have learned so much from this College. Till now, I had made so many good memories. The active clubs helps the students in their growth and development. I would recommend others to take admission in this College.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Sc. in Computer Science Vidyavardhini's Annasaheb Vartak College of Arts, K.M. College of Commerce, E.S.A. College of Science because of my interest in Coding, AI, Cyber security, Data Science, and Software Development. The course covers the key subjects like Programming, Data Structures, DBMS, and Networks. My course is mostly theory based but it also includes practicals and small projects. The admission process was merit based and the students also need to qualify the entrance exam.
The fee of my course is approx Rs. 35,000/- in 1st year which include tuition fee of Rs. 27000/-, registration fee is Rs. 1000/-, and lab fee is Rs. 5000/-. For 2nd and 3rd year the fee is Rs. 33,000/- and Rs. 35,000/- respectively. The fee got slightly increased recently. The students of SC/ST get 5% to 10% discount. The scholarship is also provided by the College.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculty members have done their Ph.D and Masters in their respective field. Their teaching is clear and focused with regular practical sessions and assignments. Some of the teachers are very supportive. The teachers follow traditional methods and some use PPTs to teach the students. All the notes required by the students are provided by the faculty members. They make the learning more engaging and interesting.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our College has placement cell. The placements of Vidyavardhini's Annasaheb Vartak College of Arts, K.M. College of Commerce, E.S.A. College of Science are average as the companies prefer Postgraduate students. Most of the students look for jobs off campus.
 

Hostel Rating
No, our College doesn’t provide hostel facilities to the students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The College is well organised. There are separate academic block for different departments. The classrooms are spacious with adequate facilities. The seating capacity if the classroom is around 70 to 120 students. The campus has library with all kinds of books, labs, seminar hall, canteen, and basic sports facilities. The security and medical aid are available as well. My favorite spot is the gymkhana as I enjoy playing games such as Chess, Carom, Table Tennis, etc.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life so far is very friendly and engaging. The crowd is decent. There are various active clubs such as Tech, Cultural, NSS, and NCC. I am a part of the Tech club which hosts several events such as Coding events and workshops. It organise an annual fest such as Nipun and Bits. Some events like debates, quizzes, and hackathons keeps the students engaged.

    I am a CA student and have to attend CA lectures and tests, so for me Vartak College was perfect as it has no compulsory attendance.     The college has quite large campus. The faculty for each course had expertise. The college principal is always present for our help and for handling the programs. Their are total 3 buildings and 1 large auditorium. There is a Sahitya Katta where students prepare for competition.
