Campus Life and Facilities at PDEU Gandhinagar

Pandit Deendayal Energy University is one of the best Universities in Gujarat for engineering. I have been practicing Mechanical Engineering. This University provides you with the best campus and facilities that will help you grow more and enrich your skills. It also encourages you to grow and participate in various sports. PDEU is considered to be the best private University in Gujarat and it provides you with good exposure to the market and better placements than any other private University. The factors that made me choose this University were the location and the infrastructure of the University. The curriculum which is designed for the overall growth of the students and the clubs in the University can help you explore more into your hobbies and passions. The campus life at PDEU is designed such that the students utilize their time in different subjects efficiently. Also, it gives you a lot of sports opportunities to showcase your talents in inter-University or intra-University competitions. The thing I find different in this University is that the University offers less distraction in your University life the University environment is designed to focus on studies and other intellectual factors only.

I am pursuing Mechanical Engineering at Pandit Deendayal Energy University. The University is famous for it's mechanical and petroleum engineering and the curriculum or mechanical engineers is very vast and better than any other University. The course will give you the knowledge of everything about engineering the creation, the designing and the whole mechanism behind everything. I think choosing mechanical is a great choice as it is core engineering and It does not limit you in any boundaries. You can have various opportunities in your desired field of job or you want to pursue postgraduate. The eligibility criteria for the mechanical in PDEU varies every year so it's better to check on their website. The requirement doe admission is that the candidate must have passed 12th grade or a diploma. JEE or GUJCET is required as well if you are a 12th student. If you are NRI students SAT scores are required. The admission process of this University is very easy, you can apply here from different platforms such as their website, where you can fill out your admission form online and the whole process can be done sitting at your home or you can get admission through ACPC rounds which is also online. After getting your acceptance in the University, you need to come here in person and do the documents verification to ensure your admission and you can join as soon as you pay your fees. The University exam structure is simple, every semester will have four units in every theory subjects and 10-12 experiments per lab, for theory subjects there will be 2 internal assessments which will contribute to 25% of your final grade. A mid semester exams of 50 marks which also contributes 25% in final grade and an end semester exam which will contribute the rest 50% of the final grade. For the labs 50% of the marks will be for the Lab file and the rest 50% will be of Lab exam and viva. The academic curriculum will help you get trained for the market as it also teaches you some fundamentals about the business during the course. This helps you bring out your best in whatever you do after your B.Tech.

The total fee of my course is Rs. 2,55,000 per year. This includes Rs. 6,000 as registration fees and the rest 2,49,000 is tuition fees. There are no other charges or any hidden fees. The University provides with a very simple fee structure which is easy to understand for all. There are no special or specific discounts for any category of student but students can avail a JEE-based scholarship at the time of admission if they are applying directly to the University of TFW facility if they are applying through ACPC. This scholarship contains many conditions. However, if you aren't able to avail any of these you can still apply for the Reliance Foundation scholarship or the MYSY scholarship provided by the government. The University also provides you a scholarship based on your semester grades if you don't grab any other scholarship.

The faculties in Pandit Deendayal Energy University are very interactive with the students in terms of class doubts or any other problem. Various faculties are teaching us different subjects and all are Ph.D scholars from reputed Universities of this country. I feel honored to get education by them. The teaching method of every teacher is very different and they try to make the classroom interactive and more fun rather than just teaching and making everyone bored. The teachers try to build one-on-one connections with every students and look after their academics during the semester. They also provide tips and tricks for exam preparations and other problems. Their problem-solving abilities are incredible and they provide full-time support to students even after University hours. The batches only have 70-80 students in theory classes and about 30-35 in labs which makes it easy for teachers to interact with each and every student.

Pandit Deendayal Energy University does provide you with hostel facilities but even if you don't get in the University hostels there are a few private hostels nearby the campus which are better than University hostels. There are various Facilities provided in the University hostel such as laundry which is paid for in the University hostel, they provide students with gym facility which costs you 1,000 per month. The University hostel facility provides 4 meals a day. In the hostels provided by the University, the Girls and The boys hostels are separate. However, some private hostels are co-ed. The mess food of every hostel is of good quality and they maintain proper hygiene. I stay in a private hostel and in my hostel there are laundry machines on every floor which makes the laundry easy for everyone and also we have personal bathrooms in every room. The annual hostel fees is Rs. 1,75,000. The hostel fees may vary according to the hostel you choose and can be in the range of Rs. 1,50,000 to Rs. 2,20,000. The hostel rules are similar for every hostel and the timings of every hostel are the same too, which is last entry time 10:30 p.m. My personal experience was very good during my first year in the hostel. The food in the mess is of very good quality and other facilities like Wi-Fi, etc. are very good.

The infrastructure of Pandit Deendayal Energy University is incredible. There are 6 buildings on the campus, designated for every department. There are a lot of libraries and labs around the campus in every department building which helps students study well on the campus and create a better environment. The campus size is decent and the University is very near to The Gift City. The classrooms are well designed and are equipped with every necessary equipment like projector, mic, computer, and charging ports on every desk. They can also take digital notes in the classroom. The class sizes are well-defined for better interaction with teachers. The academic facilities like the labs are very well organized. There is a designated lab for every subject and is highly equipped with the best equipment and machines. There are two cafeterias for students to hang out. Also, there are gazebos in every block where every student can sit, talk, study, etc. All the basic facilities like stationary and general store are there within the University campus so the students don't feel uncomfortable. My favorite thing about the University campus is the gazebos where we hang out most of the time before class or before exams and have conversation about various things. It is the best place to socialize with each other. The sports facility in the University is way better than others. They provide you with every piece of equipment and a better sporting experience.

The campus life is something else in PDEU. The University crowd has students coming from every background and ethnicity. The University has over 70+ clubs in the University which are related to different topics like music, design, theatre, etc. The clubs in the University provide a window for the student to live their passion and hobbies and connect with people with the same hobbies. It can be a good place to socialize in the University and find friends who can actually relate to you. There are events and activities conducted by clubs in which you can participate and have fun during the heavy academic stress. There are many fests and events where the clubs create some activities for every student like hackathons, gaming tournaments and other things to create engagement among the students. I personally have a very good experience of this University life, In University I learnt to become confident and more interactive with other students. I have been playing various sports in the campus like football, volleyball and tennis. The clubs in the University helped me grow my passion and work on them. They help me engage with students sharing the same interest and also better skills. They also help in learning new things and crafting better out of myself. To sum it up I am having the best University life.
