If one is average and has some business behind his back then they can afford some fun during their college life. RCCM Indore is adept in that as the college is built to have a gala time as from acting to dance, you will get ample opportunities to showcase all your talent here. There was no dress code or a hair do thing because students can wear all that they want and can keep the hairs short or long as they want. One will see a lot of characters here because the college was full of some special talents. RCCM on the whole august well for a complete college life because it’s not that studies were totally ignored but nothing was pounced or imposed on them. Those who wanted to build career in entertaining were allowed to entertain as every festival and n number of college festivals were enough for those students to show all what they have got.

Academics started strong but because it wasn’t the college forte it eventually started diminishing. I mean it didn’t diminish entirely but as they say rivers doesn’t drink their own water likewise students had to be serious themselves because for the serious students the faculties and HOD were always there. Faculties took classes even if 20% of the students were present and which were indeed so if one is not interested in other activities and rather want to focus on studies, there was an opportunity for them too. Having said that, B. Com is not a vast course that one has to attend classes daily and study regularly. For us who wanted to do something academically it were the faculties who guided us on how to prepare for entrances and what all skill-set should we enhance while we are at RCCM. Look I wanted to study and I got enough assistance and help from the college, so for me academics too weren’t a problem.

Faculties were strong set of people who have come all the way from various cities to ensure that students get to learn maximum at the campus. They were supportive but who don’t want leisure time for themselves and likewise they were rather happier with the students who used to spend their time off-classes. For the ones like us who used to spend more time at classes sometimes does feel like we are bugging them. Well, we didn’t have a choice as we came for studies unlike most the crowd that is busy having fun the other way.

It was a complete no as B.Com students were more or less informed directly or indirectly that no companies are interested in having B.Com students in their portfolio. Well, we were taught accountancy but the companies that came for other courses already had enough accountants that they never looked at us. Other than that, I don’t think there was a chance that B. Com students would have find a job as we were hardly taught about finance or the things that can fetch jobs.

RCCM campus doesn’t have any hostel nor does it have any hostel off-campus which many universities these days have started. Well, it was sad to see but maximum crowd was from Indore and therefore a hostel was hardly required. For the few outsiders there is ample PG, flat and other options which one can easily avail. The campus is in a good area and in the vicinity only there are many options that outsiders don’t have to waste time traveling or searching for food options.

Since, they have laid most focus on show business, how can they leave their own campus without making it a showpiece. So, it was a small campus but a showpiece for sure. The canteen or the café named ‘Da Vinci’ will see students crowd at its best. To be honest it was on the expensive side and yet always full. The auditorium was a marvel as along with a closed auditorium there was an open auditorium too. In terms of sports there was a small indoor sports room and a basketball court in the name of outdoor sports.

Well, I would be lying to say that I didn’t have any fun at the campus as the events were plenty and in some I too have participated. On festivals sweets or other things were distributed at the campus and that felt like still the school culture because otherwise it was a proper college where students were free to do all that they want. No nuisance at the campus though as security was really tight and there were cameras all over. The annual event Orphic was unique just like its name and it literally lit up the Lotus auditorium of the campus.
