Admission Process for a Successful Start at PCACS Navi Mumbai

My overall experience at PCACS Navi Mumbai has been phenomenal. The college provided a great mix of academic, extracurricular, and a supportive environment that shaped my personality. I chose this institute because of its reputation for holistic learning and excellent faculty, which many students praised. Its location in Navi Mumbai makes it accessible and the diverse student body enriched my experience. Unlike other colleges, Pillai ensures that every student feels valued and heard, fostering a strong sense of community.

I pursued a BMS course because of my interest in Management and HR. The eligibility criteria were straightforward, requiring an overall 65% in class 12th and a keen interest in the field. The admission process was smooth, with staff available to guide students. Exams were held regularly, ensuring we stayed on track through mid-sem and end-sem. The syllabus was designed to prepare us for real life challenges, with a focus on case studies and practical applications.

The total fee for BMS was approximately Rs. 35,000 per year, covering tuition and registration fees. There were no hidden charges, making it affordable. Financial aid was available, with scholarships for meritorious students and specific categories, offering discounts upto Rs. 10,000.

The faculty is highly experienced and supportive. Most professors hold advanced degrees and have years of teaching and industry experience. They used mixed teaching methods, including PPTs, group discussions, and case studies to make class engaging. The teacher to student ratio was balanced, allowing for individuals attention. Faculty members were approachable, always ready to help with academic and personal issue. They encouraged us to think critically and apply theoretical concepts to real-world problems. Many professors also conducted workshops and guest lectures, which broadened our understanding of industry trends.

The college has a dedicated placement cell that actively works to connect students with the industry. Regular workshops and mock interviews prepared us for placements. Renowned companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Coca-Cola, and ICICI Bank visited the campus. The highest package offered was 8.5 LPA, and the average package was 3.5 LPA. I got the placement offer from Justdial as a junior HR executive.

PCACS Navi Mumbai offers hostel facilities for both boys and girls, ensuring a safe and comfortable stay. The girl’s hostel is located just two minutes away from the campus, has double room, triple sharing rooms and single rooms with upto 300 students can live. The boy’s hostel, 3-4 KM away provides single, double, and triple rooms for 380 students. Both hostels include Wi-Fi, 24/7 security, daily cleaning, and a canteen offers meal with annual plans. I did not stay at the hostel but visited it many times, as a friend of mine stayed there and the facilities seemed well maintained and student friendly. The fee is reasonable and varies by room type and amenities.

The campus is modern and spacious, with well-designed academic blocks, seminar halls, and a library with an extensive collection of books. Classrooms are equipped with AV aids, making learning interactive. The canteens serve delicious and affordable food, and the sports facilities include a basketball court, a gymkhana, cricket ground with nets. My favorite spot was the amphitheater, where events and performances often took place. Additionally, the auditorium is state of the art, hosting seminars, guest lectures, and fests, while the labs are well equipped to support practical learning. Security measures like CCTV surveillance, and medical facilities ensure a safe and student-friendly environment.

Campus life is lively and energetic. The college crowd is friendly. There are many clubs, including the cultural and debate clubs, where I was an active member. Events like ‘Algeria Festival’ the annual fest and celebrity meets brought the campus to life with music, dance, and competitions. The overall vibe was welcoming and inspiring, encouraging us to explore our interests. My club helped in enhancing my public speaking skills. Additionally, regular cultural celebrations, workshops, and guest lecturers added value to our campus experience. The campus vibe was always inspiring, motivating us to step out of our comfort zones and explore our potential to the fullest.
