Choose CBIT Hyderabad for a Career in AI & ML

This institute is best for students who want to pursue CSE and IT related courses as there is a open learning environment with different events, programs, and hackathons these programs provide connectivity and collaboration between students to share knowledge about emerging industrial technologies. CSE (AI&ML) can be one of the better courses among IT related courses because it constitutes of core concepts of both CS (Computer Science) and related industry trending technologies. I am also part of this course as a lateral entry student entered with ECET test in 2nd year. Another good point is that placements are much adequate to provide required opportunities for students regarding future jobs.

Coming to syllabus, core subjects related to CSE are included in curriculum. However, it does have room of improvement to include technical programs. There are some technological subjects also. Semester exams are mostly somewhat hard if we don't attend the classes throughout the course but can be passed when we attend so what regular to the class. Pass percentage can be upto 95% in specific to my course. Admission process and eligibility is can be 2 types: category A {through convener that is by EAMCET (after Intermediate) or ECET (after Polytechnic)} and category B (Management quota and the students here are considered based on their JEE percentage). I joined as a lateral entry student by the entrance exam ECET.

As I got good rank less than in 1000 in ECET, I got a full fee reimbursement. Same reimbursement is given student has rank below 10000 in EAMCET. The fee structure is like: firstly, when I joined, it was the tuition fee as Rs. 1,42,000 per year. However, it was increased to Rs. 1,80,000 in past 4 year. And there are additional charges for example, miscellaneous fee of around Rs. 70,000 for each year. A separate semester fee for each semester can be Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 3,000 based on courses. I have not paid any tuition fee as I got a scholarship from government but I had to paid semester and miscellaneous fee.

The lecturers here can be good in knowledge and teaching but some people are somewhat ok. The method of teaching can be through blackboard and PPTs mostly. It varies from course to coursed, for example, in CSE department, PPTs are mostly preferred and for EEE, ECE, and Mechanical branches, teachers might be using Blackboard mostly. teachers bond with the students mostly through the events that are conducted on various technologies, etc.

There is separate placement cell in CBIT Hyderabad for on campus placements. In my course, mostly 98% students are placed during on campus placements. Apart from this, students of other courses in our institute also have good placement record. Placement cell will organize recruitment process by assigning separate PCs (Placement Coordinators) in each section. PCs can mostly include 2 to 3 students within same section. These PCs will be representative for the placement activities related companies to that section. The highest package is 44 LPA, lowest is 3 LPA and average package is 6 to 8 LPA in my course. Top recruiting companies are: Oracle, EA Sports, Barclays, Hexagon, Pega Systems, Deloitte, GAP, etc. There are also other companies such as: Carelon, EPAM, F5 Networks, Straive, etc. Some people got internship with placement and some are got with direct placement. Top roles offered are: ASE (Associate Software Engineer), SDE (Software Developer Engineer), and Technical Consultant. I was also placed in one company with the package of 8 LPA.

Yes, institute offers a dedicated hostel for this institute (CBIT) which is combined for the students of MGIT also that is beside our institute. It is about 500 meters away from the institute. But, mostly students from 2nd year can't prefer to stay in institute hostel only and mostly 1st year students are there in this hostel. I was not resident of the institute’s hostels as I chose private accommodation need the campus. So, I don't know much about the hostel.

There are separate blocks for each course of engineering labeled by the alphabets like block A, block B, etc. in CBIT Hyderabad. Campus size is about 72 acres approximately. Classrooms have maximum seating if about 70 members at a time. There are separate seminar halls for each block and there are 3 to 4 auditoriums. There is conference also in the building of placements. There are adequate labs with sufficient systems with specified features available as I am in institute. There is central library with systems, books related to all courses of engineering and also for specific domains, classrooms are not upto mark but ok. I think the institute not that much worth for what we actually pay. There is a canteen, separate sport block, somewhat 2 rooms for medical support, and one ambulance. There are also paid bus transportation services provided by institute and a strict security is also available.

Campus life here is beautiful in CBIT Hyderabad campus. This is because there is very best learning environment as I mentioned with various events, activities, fests, debates, etc. The institute is mostly student based because of the presence of students clubs here. In addition to that, these various clubs are related to different domains that can be technical or social to help the society. It can be said that these clubs are also famous. There is an annual fest called as ‘Shruthi’ that is conducted with various harmonics cultural, festive, activities on those 3 to 4 days. The collaborations & connection between students for sharing knowledge 7 serving others is at the top. I have experienced in the best campus life here.
