Overall Rating
I basically applied to multiple colleges and got into Ethiraj College for Women as it was my first choice. The college is amazing overall and if you are looking for placements this is one of the best colleges to get into as they have amazing opportunities and this was my main reason for making the final decision. There are opportunities for sports students to participate in national level tournaments without missing out on academics.
 

Academics Rating
I chose BBA at Ethiraj College for Women and the entry requirement was a minimum of 60 percentage in all of my academics. The selection was merit based and we got an email if we get selected or shortlisted. Exams are conducted with a frequency of 2 Continuous Assessments followed by the semester examination. There are a total of 6 semesters. I chose BBA as it had internships as part of the curriculum.
The fees structure at Ethiraj College for Women is Rs. 40,000 average for every semester. The fee includes the tuition, college development fund, sports amount and lab fees if applicable.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are extremely experienced and are very patient at Ethiraj College for Women. Most of the faculties hold a Ph.D. They have decades of experience. The faculty to student ratio is appropriate. They use projectors, guest lectures, auditoriums, field visits to help students get exposure. The faculty members are professional but are available whenever needed. They also conduct special classes for students who are behind. We often have to take seminars as part of our curriculum.
 

Placement Rating
The placements in the college are very extensive and the companies are some of the biggest ones both globally and nationally. Some of them are: Deloitte, DE Shaw, World Bank, NatWest, Guidehouse, Accenture, TCS, McKinsey, Barclays, Ernst and Young, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel experience at Ethiraj College for Women is good considering the fees. They provide Wireless Internet to the students and food and snacks as well. The accommodations are fairly good for the fees.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Ethiraj College for Women’s campus has 2 blocks - Main Block and Annex Block. The Main Block mainly consists of the Aided departments while the Annex Block has the Self Supporting as the majority and with Business Studies departments as the dominant one. The classrooms have capacity of 75 to 80 students. The library is extensive with both educational and non educational books. The campus has 2 canteens and a medical room. Sports have a separate block.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life at Ethiraj College for Women is bustling to say in one word. There are some activities always going on such as cultural fests, club activities, and departmental activities. There are multiple external activity clubs such as Rotaract, Red Ribbon Club, Financial Literacy Club, Entrepreneurship Cell, Citizen Consumer Club, Youth Red Cross, YUVA, etc. Some are compulsory ones while some are voluntary. These clubs usually collect annual fees of Rs. 100 on average. The same is collected for the collegiate fests as well.

    Ethiraj college is located in the centre of Chennai at main place of city. Campus is evergreen known for excellence in education more than 75 years. Students study here, get exposure to corporate world and get life skills. Placement opportunities are wide. They get trained before getting placed and many big 4 companies have hired students from here some are Deloitte, EY, Barclays, etc. This is a good and old college known for its history of teaching and we can make some real good Friends....
