Dr. D. Y. Patil Law College, Pune is an institution which is in its developing stage and is developing rapidly. The team of the college is quite active not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities like moots, debates, sports and other cultural programs. The faculties are incredibly dedicated and passionate about their subject. The college provides ample opportunities for state and national level moot court competitions. The college also provides ample internships opportunities. It is one of the best law colleges in Pune and is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).

The college offers both Five-year (B.A.LL.B) and three- year (LL.B) courses. The college also offers numerous diploma courses. To be eligible for the admission one has to appear for the Maharashtra Entrance Test (MH-CET LAW) and should clear the cut off. The cut off varies for Maharashtra candidates and outside Maharashtra candidate. The College has its internal (30 marks) and end semester exam (70 marks) along with viva and unit tests in between. This lifelong learning mindset is essential for staying relevant in a rapidly changing world and adapting to new challenges and opportunities. Overall, college academics provide a strong base for navigating real life challenges. The college not only provides theoretical knowledge but also provides practical knowledge (example: court visits, moot court competition and internship) for better understanding the complex concept of law. The fee for B.A.LL.B and LL.B is budget friendly and the fee for Maharashtra student and outside Maharashtra students (OMS) are different. The college also offers scholarship for the students.

Each faculty of Dr. D. Y. Patil Law College is well qualified including practicing advocates. They are not only brilliant teacher but a supportive mentor as well. Professors are easily approachable and always ready to help. Their teaching methods include classroom discussion, debates, ppts, case presentation, etc. They encourage active student’s participation. Weekly Guest lectures are conducted to offer diverse perspectives and viewpoints, enriching the learning experience and challenging students' thinking. As hearing from professionals, would be highly motivating and inspiring for students, and encouraging them to pursue their academic and career goals.

The college has its own placement cell which is at developing stage and it is growing rapidly.

The law college does not have its separate hostel but Dr. D. Y. Patil University has its separate hostels for both boys and girls (Rajarajeshwari Girl’s Hostel and Adya Boy’s Hostel). They have proper in timings with tight securities. The food quality at mess is flavorful often but sometimes it is quite average. Apart from this hostel there are many private hostels and pgs nearby.

The overall Dr. D. Y. Patil Law College has great infrastructure. The infrastructure for Law College is decent but could be better. The classrooms are modern and well-equipped with projectors and smart boards. The library is well-stocked with a vast collection of books, online research database and journals. The college has its own Moot Court Hall. The college also provides well managed parking facilities. The college needs its separate building as it becomes overcrowded often.

It is the hub for the personal growth, if use wisely. The college strictly adheres to the anti ragging law. The college conducts extracurricular activities to maintain the zeal among students. Dr. D. Y. Patil Law College also organises fest and events which helps in senior-junior interaction. The crowd at the college is diverse with students from almost every part of India. The college also celebrates festivals like Christmas, Navratri and Ganesh Chaturthi with great enthusiasm. This experience has changed me deeply. The friendships, the lessons learned and the memories, they'll be a part of me forever. It was the best 5 years of my life.
