Student Life at GLA University Mathura: Annual Events, Friends, and Club Activities

Overall Rating
The GLA University Mathura has a decent campus and has a good overall academic environment. It is a reasonable option if you are looking for a Private Institution in Uttar Pradesh. However, students need to focus on their CPI because it plays an important role in section division and placements. The University offers good extracurricular opportunities, clubs, events, and hackathons. Overall, it is a decent University, but students should also work independently on their skills.
 

Academics Rating
The academic environment at University is good and quite disciplined. Academics are taken seriously. Students need to study regularly because backlogs can happen easily if they do not maintain their performance. From the 2nd year, sections are also dividing based on CPI, so maintaining a good CPI is important. All in all, students get a proper University environment. Academic criteria for taking admission are Direct admission or entrance based GLAET (GLA Entrance Test).
The fees at GLA University are neither too high nor too low, so they are generally affordable for a middle class family. However, some external charges can be quite expensive. Almost every event has a ticket and ticket price is often above Rs. 500/-. My total fee is around Rs. 8,00,000/-. UP Government scholarship is available & students can apply in case meet eligibility requirements.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is overall good. Most of teachers are supportive, knowledgeable, and helpful with academics. However, there are also some faculty members who can be little strict. Their experience can vary from teacher to teacher.
 

Placement Rating
The placements at University is good. The average package for this program is around 6 LPA. Placements for courses like B.Tech, MBA, MCA, and BBA are excellent. Renowned companies who visit in our University are Amazon, Wipro, Deloitte, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, etc. On the regular basis, mock interview tests are held.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel facilities are available for outstation students. Boys and girls have separate hostels. There are many air-conditioned and non air conditioned rooms inside the residents. Students can avail these rooms on a single & sharing
(2 & 3) basis. The food offered at the girls mess is generally good. Girls can also go out on Saturdays and Sundays between 8 AM to 5 PM. The hostel rules are ok. I live in 3-seater room that costs me Rs. 65,000/- per semester.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The classrooms are furnished and comfortable. There are different academics blocks. The campus is quite huge & there is canteen, subways, stationary shop, dispensaries, and sports ground is inside the campus. Overall, the infrastructure is good enough for regular campus life. There are 4 to 5 libraries inside the campus as well as common rooms in every block.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life at GLA University Mathura is quite active. It has over 70 clubs. Clubs organise different events and activities. Students can participate is various activities. Hackathons and competitions also happen regularly. Overall, students get many opportunities to enjoy and explore. Tech fest named ‘TechNavya’, Sports Fest names ‘Spandan’, and Fresher’s party named ‘Prarambh’ are some of the famous programs of the University.

    I think this University is quite decent when it comes to placements, academics, sports, events, fests, and fees. You can easily get upto 7 LPA of job from here if you are an average student.     The University are working on every aspect and the syllabus is good. One thing I really like is that the campus is near me. Another feature I liked is that they take codethon from the first semester itself. The crowd is also decent here. They also have workshops, and there are several clubs like CSED in which we can participate after our lectures.
