My Journey at Madhav Institute of Technology and Science

Overall Rating
Overall experience at Madhav Institute of Technology and Science is good because the course curriculum is little relaxed for students, so they can prepare for government exams very well with institute studies. I love Math and this is the only institute where Mathematics and Computing is available so I have chosen this particular institute and branch. I want be an engineer in Computer Science field. You can also come here because in this branch we study all Computer Science subjects along with Mathematics.
 

Academics Rating
You have to give JEE Mains exam to get admission in this institute and if you get 70 percentile in OBC category you can get this branch. Admission process can be hectic because you have to submit photocopy of every document and also have to show the original documents. 2 times mid sems and one end sem are held here. The academics prepare you well for real life because you study relevant subjects which are required in tech industry.
In 2023, total 4 year fees was Rs. 4,58,400 with first year fees Rs. 1,37,650, 2nd year fee Rs. 1,07,700, 3rd year fee 1,06,200, and 4th year fee is Rs. 1,06,850. There are two scholarships one is Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana for eligible students and for others MPTAAS.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members at Madhav Institute of Technology and Science are well behaved, soft spoken and very well qualified with all of them having Ph.D. Most of the teachers prefer teaching with blackboard, and some prefers ppts as well. Problem solving abilities of faculties are really good because they have very good knowledge of their respective fields. Teacher to student’s ratio is also good. I have very good experience with teachers because every time I go to them for any concerns they will give me some solutions.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, placement cell is there, but only 50% students can get job offers. You will be given projects to do. TCS, Infosys, and Wipro are some of the companies that visit Madhav Institute of Technology and Science for recruiting students. Highest package was 14 LPA and average is 4.5 LPA. No, I am in second year so I have no experience of placement.
 

Hostel Rating
For boys, hostel is available only for first year and for girls, it is for all 4 years. In boys hostel maximum 250 boys can live. Hostel fees at my time were Rs. 62,000 for first semester and Rs. 43,000 for second semester but every year fees is increasing. I have stayed in hostel in first semester, room are good and 4 students have to be in one room and after 1 semester rooms and roommates gets changed.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of Madhav Institute of Technology and Science is quite big and good with very peaceful surroundings everywhere. Campus size is approximately 50 acres. It is just 3km away from Gwalior railway station. In one class up to 80 students can sit and in some classes 100 students can sit. Also AC and smart boards are available in class. Library is there with lots of books. Yes, sports are available in institute and canteen is also there. AI building of institute is best.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is little boring if you are a very extrovert human being because apart from classes there is nothing much in terms of events, fests and extracurricular activities. Sometimes you will get events but you will not find them as entertaining as they should be. I have good experience and also bad experience because apart from lectures you will have a boring life here. But it is very good if you are preparing for any government exam.

    Madhav Institute of Technology and Science is 2nd best institute of Gwalior which became a deemed university in 2024. If you are from Gwalior or nearby Gwalior, it's okay to take admission here.     The overall Institute experience is good. The infrastructure is good. It has both old buildings and a new AI block which is really good. There's not much of a campus life as the campus is not really big and also they don't allow students inside the Institute after 6:00 PM so there's no nightlife. I chose this Institute essentially because this was in my state and I was getting a scholarship.
