Kanoria Girls College is one of the best colleges for girls in Jaipur that offers a Bachelors Degree in Science. Talking about the admission process, it was very simple as we had to fill up the form completely, and submit it. Since Kanoria college falls under University of Rajasthan, like other colleges, to get admission we had to meet the cut off decided by the college administration. The college management is really friendly and helps students wherever they can. The management also assists students who are passionate about sports and guide them. The other added benefit is, Kanoria College is located in a very prime location of Jaipur near to the University of Rajasthan.

I enrolled in B.Sc (Pass course) as I was really passionate about Science stream and wanted to join flying branch of Indian Air Force, after completing my graduation. I applied in 2 colleges of Jaipur and got admission call from both of them, but I chose to pursue my graduation from Kanoria College because of its faculty. The another reason of choosing this college was its location as I joined National Cadet Corps (NCC) and it was walking distance from my college.

The faculty at my college was pretty decent as the professors really had 10-15 years of teaching experience in their respective fields. The faculty members know what they are teaching and what is the requirement of students. Each faculty follows hierarchy, from Head of Department to Assistant Professors, everyone is quite aware of their roles and follows professionalism diligently. They taught core subjects really well, only Maths faculty was struggling when I studied there. Some teachers gave amazing lectures and created a positive learning environment for students by inviting open discussions on various life topics.

Kanoria College placements are really not renowned, but they are trying hard to bring decent placements in noncore sectors but getting no major success in any core sectors. Final year students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Genpact, Teleperformance, DB etc. are recruiting students with good scored marks in their respective stream. 20-30% students get placements every year, hardly 10-15% join as the students are mainly recruited in sales. The average salary offered is around 2.5 to 3 lakhs per annum, though the placement process and interactive sessions are easy and pleasant.

Although I was a day scholar but my course mates who belonged to other cities were using the hostel facilities of Kanoria College. The hostel provides good and safe environment to students and access to gym, swimming pool and playground. Ragging was strictly prohibited and hostelers were not allowed to go outside without a gate pass. A watchman and warden was also appointed to help students, there was also a mess and common TV area for entertainment. Kanoria hostel provides spacious room, clean and green environment and healthy food so that the students don't miss their homes, when away from home.

The college is situated on JLN Marg and very spacious compared to other colleges in vicinity. It has plenty of amenities for the use of students. My favorite part of the college was it's library, consisting of thousand of books, journals and magazines in all the segments. The college has a cafeteria to go to during free hours to chat and eat with friends. The spacious playground and swimming pool were also an added benefit for the sport lovers and players; one female instructor is always there to operate things. The college consists of all kind of labs from Geography lab to Home Science lab, from Physics to Chemistry lab, with high maintenance and equipment. There was also a sick room to report for any kind of emergency.

I can say my overall life experience at Kanoria College, was amazing and learning. The college has anti-ragging and grievance cell to make things smoother for students. Many clubs in the campus like writing, dancing and sports keep students busy, and there was absolutely no time to waste in the college. My favorite club was media club where I could practice and enhance my photography skills, other than that I used to attend writing club to recite my poetries. The clubs are a great place to interact with different type of people.
