GAT Bangalore's Impressive Placement Statistics

In this Institute you can enjoy your Institute days as it is not that strict as other Institutes. Academic wise also some teachers are knowledgeable. I chose this Institute because I got it in my KCET rank. The difference in this Institute is that they encourage students very much to play sports in VTU level and state level as for talented students. For practice also they give separate sports timings.

I have chosen electronics and communication engineering. I have chosen this course because I am interested in making IOT and Robotics related projects which I had done in my PUC. An eligibility criterion for this Institute if you enter through KCET is around 30k-50k rank for general merit. Admission process is quite simple, if you attend through KCET. They will tell what all documents to submit to the Institute. The frequency of exams is very frequent. The academics have not yet prepared me as I am still learning. The syllabus for first year is somewhat same for every other Branch.

I joined through KCET and my fee was Rs. 1,30,000 for a year. The KCET fee was Rs. 1,15,000 and the Institute’s tuition fees was Rs. 15,000. As I am from general merit there is no category fee.

The faculty members who are taking my class are well knowledgeable and friendly. Most of the teacher’s background is masters in their particular subject. Most of the teachers use PPT and only teach in English. There is group discussion. My experience with my teachers is amazing like literally they treat you like a son if you be obedient. It's your luck, some teachers are friendly and some are opposite of that. They are always ready to solve your doubts.

As I am a first year student, I don't know much about placement cell. But as per our Institute told us that around 80% of the students of Institute will get placed. The highest offer was 22 LPA and average package is around 4-5 LPA. Top Companies that visit our Institute were IBM, Infosys, etc.

As I am a day scholar I don't know much about the hostel mess.

The total academic blocks in our Institute are 3 and there is another under construction. First is the main building in which all electronic and electrical labs and classrooms, admission block is present. Second is AIB building which has only classrooms. Third is C building which has auditorium, library, computer labs, etc. The campus size is around 8-9 acres. Locality is peace as it is at top of a hill. All the seminar halls and other stuff are there in C building. The canteen is average and the sports department is what I love. They encourage so much in sports for talented players .The favorite thing in Institute infrastructure is sitting arrangements, we can mostly sit anywhere in the Institute.

The overall campus is good. The Institute’s crowd is also quite good as the seniors are also very friendly. There are variety of clubs in our Institute for technical as well as entertainment. I am part of the Kalaparva. The seniors organize branch wise events for first year students. The ‘interact’ fest is the most celebrated fest in our Institute. My experience is this campus has been quite good and I hope it to be good in the future as well.
