MCA at KIT Kanpur Academic Journey and Opportunities

My overall experience at KIT is full of enthusiasm and critical circumstances. Critical due to my personal relationship and enthusiastic because of new experience and knowledge that I got after taking admission in this Institute. My first day at the Institute was embarrassing. On first day our communication teacher started interacting with students one by one in front and made them give a speech about themselves, their likes and dislikes. Factors that made me choose this schools are friendly attitude of faculty members & students and its past records of placements and packages. In my Institute I think the nature of faculty and administration is egoless. I don't think this is something that we will find in other Institutes.

I have chosen Master program in computer application at Kanpur Institute of Technology as I had already done graduation in bachelor of computer application so, I decided to to opt for MCA for more knowledge and good package. Any graduate can enroll in MCA no matter he/she is from BA or B.Sc pass out. Just you have to score more than 50% to get enrolled in MCA course. Admission process in my Institute is very simple. You just need to visit Institute once and admission cell will provide all the possible details required. Exams are held after the end of every semester. Academics prepare us by providing proper lectures and governing extra meetings, projects, activities and internal examination which includes- Sessional and Makeup sessions. If one has not passed in sessionals than he/she can opt for makeup sessional.

Year wise fee at Kanpur Institute of Technology is Rs. 75,000 per year and Semester wise the fee is Rs. 37,500. The late fee fine is of Rs. 100. You can pay whole fee at one time and you will get 3% discount. Hostel fees is not included in this.

Faculty members at Kanpur Institute of Technology are highly qualified and Ph.D holders in related fields My HOD Ajeet Sir is highly disciplined and a strict teacher. He wants all the students of his batch to be in discipline. Our faculties teach us using several methods. The methods used are via computer lab on projectors and on boards. Teacher to student ratio is 1:25. Faculty members are always availing in Institute hours only. Our Institute’s faculties are highly intelligent and employed in using various teaching methods to engage us. They are also very supportive, and if students interacted with them, they would reciprocate. For instance, if we missed a lecture or our attendance wasn't marked then informing the faculty would promptly resolve the issue. They would update our attendance.

In Kanpur Institute of Technology, there is an alternative cell called as placement cell to provide internship and placement to the students. They conduct frequent meetings and programs where several guests are invited to motivate us. This cell creates a WhatsApp group with each student in it and provides information about incoming jobs in the same. Wipro, Infosys and Tech Mahindra are the companies that visited my Institute.

Kanpur Institute of Technology campus is quite large, with three computer labs, two libraries, three to four auditoriums, and another separate computer lab behind the main building. There many government exams were conducted such as Air Force and Navy exams. There is also a huge playground where students play cricket, volleyball and basketball. Courts were also available on the sides. Our Institute has two buildings: the KIHM building was for polytechnic and diploma courses, while the main KIT building was for B.Tech, BCA, B.Com, and master degree students. Overall, my campus life was a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. I missed out on several events, such as the Freshers party, due to certain reasons. However, I did attend the manifesto event, which featured a popular singer, Salman Ali, from Kanpur. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, with students from all course branches coming together to have fun. The party was held within our Institute campus itself. There are two canteens in the Institute, and the sports facilities are also quite good. Additionally, medical facilities were available, including a medical lab. There is a library as well, although I'd say it is a bit smaller than it should be. The Institute maintains cleanliness, and overall, it is a well-healthy and clean Institution

Overall the campus life has been good. The parties organized are held within our Institute campus itself. There are various clubs in my Institute, but I didn't actively participate in any of them, except for the singing club, where I took part once and even received a certificate for it.
