About KIT Kanpur: From Admissions to Campus Life

Overall Rating
KIT Kanpur is first autonomous institute in Kanpur. I want to job in my core field that’s why I chose Electronics & Communication Engineering. It is not as much strict. My overall experience is good. You have time in this institute you need to study.
 

Academics Rating
Looking towards future, India is shifting towards battery from fuels. The semiconductor industry growing fast that why I choose this branch. Either you have given JEE Main or direct admission should also be preferred to get the seat here. After completion of every unit, there is assessment and at the end of semester, there will be final exams. It is sometime hectic, as after 2 weeks, you have to give an assessment of 8 subjects. But sometime, it seems good when compared to other university.
A fee of my branch is Rs. 65,000 and AKTU examination fee is Rs. 7,500. There are no additional changes and no discount is given to the students.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are experienced and qualified. Most of them are PhD holders or some of them are from NSUT, NITs, etc. Their method of teaching is mix of using board and PPTs. Group discussions are frequent and some times, debate it also done. Approximately, there are 75 faculty members in my branches and apart from that lab assistants are also there. My experience is good with my faculty. They can also solve your doubts. You don’t get back if you study for 2 hours daily.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus has three buildings namely, KIT block, KIHE block, and Pharmacy building. Campus is about 30 acres with fully AC classrooms. Each one of them have a strength of about 80 students. Auditorium, computer centre, seminar hall, One canteen , etc. are inside the campus premises. Sports and medical facilities are also available. Institute has transport services also. Library is big and you don’t need to buy books of your syllabus. A favorite spot is ground.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good. KIT Kanpur is crowded as around 5000 students are there in institutes. Extracurricular activities are organized by institutes. There is fest named ‘Engineous’ conducted every year. Every festival is celebrated in the campus with joy. Campus life is good.

    As the title suggests this institute is a decent option. I am saying so because of the few factors I feel that could have been better like Placements. It became an autonomous institute from 2024 so things might change in future beside this the teachers, infrastructure, and curriculum are all very good. Being autonomous, they reduced the curriculum and only kept useful subjects and topics which are a plus point and the fees are also affordable as compared to other private institutes....     My overall experience at KIT is full of enthusiasm and critical circumstances. Critical due to my personal relationship and enthusiastic because of new experience and knowledge that I got after taking admission in this Institute. My first day at the Institute was embarrassing.
