Sports and Cultural Life at APSIT Thane

I took admission in A.P. Shah Institute of Technology in 2021 for BE computer science engineering specialization in data science. The faculty members in here are very supportive and helpful in academic as well as non academic activities. They organize hackathons that helped me a lot in building up my skills and getting known to other people with the same interest. The sports held in here is a really great opportunity for every sportsmen out there. The cultural fests organized in here are very enjoyable and refreshing.

The course I chose is BE computer engineering with specialization in data science. The benefit of choosing this course is that it gives us inclusive degree in data science field. Also this teaches us about it along with the regular course. Eligibility criteria to get admission at A.P. Shah Institute of Technology in this course depend on what branch you want and which exam you are prepared for. There is no donation admission in A P Shah Institute of Technology. Academics prepare us really good for real-life challenges.

The year wise fee at A.P. Shah Institute of Technology for my course is Rs 1,50,000. There are special discounts provided to students from EBC, ST, TFWS, etc.

Faculty members teaching me in my course are really very helpful. They take extra doubt sessions before exams and guide us through all our doubts. All the faculty members have specialization in their own domains. This helps students a lot to advance their skills. Teaching methods are really very effective as they use whiteboards to solve problems, ppts for explanation and at the end of the topic we have a group discussion. In our department we have around 70 students and there are 8 faculties. Faculties are really very approachable. They know about each and every student.

A.P. Shah Institute of Technology’s Campus is not that big as compared other engineering colleges. Locality is very good. All the things are nearby. Railway station is 30 mins away, bus stop is 2 mins away and metro station is in progress, it will be 2 min away. The canteen is not that big; it can accommodate around 40 people. Seminar hall, labs and library are also not big and not comfortable to spend time.

The campus life at A.P. Shah Institute of Technology is not that good to get around. The college crowd is decent. There are many clubs in the college to get participants in the fields like mechanics, robotics, ML OPs, and many other. There are certain extracurricular activities organized by college like NSS and etc. The college arranges many fests like Garba, Ganesh Chaturthi, and many others. There is an annual festival organized by college called as ‘OJUS APSIT’.
