GITAM University Hyderabad: Placement Success and Campus Facilities

My experience here is average. To be honest, this is a good university if you choose the right path. The facilities are just excellent. There is not any particular reason for choosing this university. The maintenance in this University is good. They maintain labs and classrooms very neatly. The clubs here are very good. in addition, you can have so much freedom in this university.

I have taken Computer Science & Engineering, as I was always interested in it. The eligibility is at least 60% in 12th class. The admission is done through an exam called GAT in which you can avail scholarship too. In addition, the admissions here are done through JEE and various other entrance exams. There are going to be two semesters in a year for four years. there are quizzes, mid exam and assignments in each semester. The academics here are very good, if you use them properly, they always acknowledge you so much.

The fee here per year is Rs. 3,64,000 and it increases to 5% every year. Everything is included in this Rs. 3,64,000. For physically disabled, sports quota and students of the parents who have income less than 12 Lakh, there is a scholarship. You can avail the scholarship from 15% to 100% as per the marks and merit.

The faculties here are very good and interactive, you will have some good system of examinations. I do not know much about the student faculty ratio. The bonding with the faculty is going to be amazing, if you interact and connect with them here. They use projectors and screens provided in the classrooms to present the PPTs and make some groups to give assignments.

The students are going to be eligible for placements from 6th semester and internship from 3rd or 4th semester onwards. The placement percentage is upto 78% and the highest offer made was 65 LPA from Microsoft. There is placement cell in item which helps you a lot to get placement and the average package is Rs. 4,90,000 per year.

The hostel facilities are provided by GITAM University. There are a study table, bed, chair, cupboards and Wi-Fi in every room. The food is always maintained better and has good quality and hygiene. You can come to hostel directly and register in the office. The charge starts from Rs. 1,05,000. The university allows you into campus until 9 PM (for girls). The campus runs until 9 PM and you are allowed to hostel upto 9 PM.

There is a gym, an indoor sports complex and grounds for football and cricket and then two basketball courts and a turf for football. the campus is about 120 acres the classrooms are well equipped with projectors, screens, and sound system too. There is a very good library in the campus, which will be accessible until 8 PM. there are labs for every subject and seminar halls for discussions there is a very big auditorium including 2 other halls for various purposes. The classrooms are highly technological and innovative with projectors and screens installed. There are 5 canteens and a café. Sports are always good here, it encourages us very well for the sports. The university also has an emergency team for medical emergencies, and transport is available all over the city.

The events that happen here are at a very wide range and you can enjoy them a lot. The fest called Pramana especially is very famous for its celebrations and cultural events. There are many clubs in the university and the crowd is decent too.
