Student’s Opinion on NIT Raipur

Overall Rating
NITs are excellent compared to other institutes. NIT Raipur has good placements. I am studying in Information Technology branch. It is excellent in academic and well organizing fests and events. many clubs are there in the institute. in addition, many students are active and participate in all activities conducted by institute. There are many labs and classrooms in this institute
 

Academics Rating
academics are well here. After clearing JEE Main, we need to participate in JoSAA counseling, then seat are allotted with respect with to Main’s rank. On reporting day, we need to submit documents. there will be a four stages verification and this is done by committee. they give reporting letter to students under admission form, received by official declaration form and letter to student.
Tuition fee is Rs. 12,500. EwS, OBC, SC, and ST have to pay around Rs. 1,00,000 of less. There is a fee waiver for students.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are well educated. most of them teach in Hindi due to more Hindi speaking students. while teaching, they use blackboard, and projectors. The problem solving ability of a faculty is good. The teacher student ratio in institutes 1:30. Lecturers are always approachable to the students and more interact with students. some of them are PhD graduates.
 

Placement Rating
placements of NIT Raipur are wonderful in every year. the highest package recorded is more than 55 LPA package from CSC, IT, and ECE departments. a average package in IT department is nearly 18.5 LPA under 95% placement rate and highest package is 58 LPA Information Technology branch.
 

Hostel Rating
There is a major drawback of the NIT Raipur is lack and limited hostels for students, especially for the senior boys and girls. there is hostel for 1st year students in B.Tech and its fee is nearly Rs. 55,000 included food, room charges, etc. The hostel timings for junior hostels are morning 6 AM to 10 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Present day infrastructure is good. it is an old institute as it was constructed in 1956, so compared to now good but there is main building and which consists of big library, inner halls, auditoriums, conference halls, classrooms, departmental HoD block, and many cabins of higher officials. There officials can be directors, deans, principles academic lecturers, & warden sir. there is a sports complex and gym for students.
 

Campus Rating
Compare to all NITs, NIT Raipur is a good institute and well in academics, and non-academics like conducting sports, fests, events many committee are in institute. Each event is celebrated grandly with a highly level students. In addition, in every weekend and month ends, we have feast. In this institute, Elceticka and Shruti events are very famous events in institute. people participate in these events and enjoy a lot.

  • NIT Raipur's Campus Facilities: Labs, Sports Complex, & More

    I'm currently pursuing B.Tech degree from National Institute of Technology, Raipur. Overall, what I can say is that this institute is good. Choosing it is kind of worth it. Well my JEE Main percentile is 93.6 so, I had to choose this institute as I want a decent NIT tag. For me, choosing this one is worth it because it is much better than choosing some lower government and private colleges.     I joined this Institute in 2024. My branch is information technology. I joined this Institute because the average package of this branch is around 18.6 LPA CTC. I got Indian Institute of technology Patna mechanical engineering during JOSSA counseling but I applied for CSAB for this Institute.     Therefore, the overall experience in this Institute is very good because in our Institute all the things are very good just like my branch and my teachers. I chose this field because I am from Chhattisgarh and that is an area of mining so there is a scope on this field and i want to encourage my juniors to go this field and serve our country.
