My Journey in SDIET Faridabad

Overall Rating
Choosing SDIET Faridabad was one of my best choices. In the beginning, I was not sure if I would be able to fit in, or if there will be good opportunities for me. However, as I’m in my 2nd semester, I have been observing quite a lot of things. The college is very much active in providing academic as well as sports or extracurricular activities. It is affiliated to JC Bose University, YMCA that adds in to its credibility.
 

Academics Rating
The course I have chosen for myself is Bachelor’s in Business Administration. In the college, we are given the choice for specializations. My specialization is Finance & Banking Services. We are provided specializations in BBA, BCA, and B.Tech. As per the eligibility, minimum 50 percent in board exams, entry-level exam depends on the percentage. JEE and CUET scores are acceptable in the college.
As I’m in a specialized course, my fee structure is 1st year was Rs. 50,000, and in 2nd & 3rd years, it is Rs. 60,000 each. In the 2nd and 3rd year, we are provided with industrial extra courses. Scholarships are provided depending on your percentage. I have also received the scholarship. After that, my fee in 1st year, it was Rs. 40,000, in 2nd year, it was Rs. 50,000, and in 3rd year, it was Rs. 50,000. The bus fee is Rs. 25,000 for girls and Rs. 30,000 for boys.
 

Faculty Rating
All our faculty members are very friendly and supportive. We are provided with mentors in our 3rd semester. They even go beyond their way to help us out. Teachers bring projectors and play the PPTs on whiteboards for us to understand the concept in a better and thorough way. As per the ratio in the college, not more than 35 to 40 students are there in one class. The teachers are all good and supportive.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of SDIET Faridabad is okayish. The campus is not too big or too small. It is all right. ACs are available in all the classes with good ventilation as well. Cameras are there in each class. We have 3 to 4 grounds to play several sports like football, cricket, basketball, and many more. It is directly in front of the canteen. In addition, we are not allowed to step out of the campus during the campus hours.
 

Campus Rating
As per my campus life, it is all right. Took me some time to find the people of my own similar interests. I am going to give audition to be a part of the literacy club. The college crowd is not up to the mark actually. The ratio between the actual good students and the students who are not disciplined enough is about 4:6. However, the faculty and college try its best to provide the best for its students like giving freshers, fests, etc.

    No placements are available. Only placements for sales are even if you are from technical course like B.Tech. No company comes to college campus for hiring for technical or IT departments. Teachers frequently leave the college which makes harder time for academics of students. Some teachers are nice and well educated but most of them are not professionals and not even able to complete the syllabus before the exams.     This college is good for the studying environment and the infrastructure is also good. Although teachers and people here behaves with you well.
