Core Engineering Placements at VSSUT Burla

Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology provides a wholesome experience in terms of infrastructure and development. This University has a large campus area. This is the oldest engineering University in Odisha. This University is best in terms of core engineering subject. This is the difference between this University and other Universities. The University is located in a good location. It is closer to the Hirakund Dam which is visible from the hostel. This University has all the facilities that should be provided in a tier 2 University.

I am now pursuing Electrical Engineering in this University. Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology aka VSSUT is well known for its core branches. The highest number of placements takes place from the core branches. This University takes admission on basis of score obtained in JEE main. The admission process of this University is so smooth and occurs in online mode. The exams are quite frequent. There are four exams conducted per year. One is mid semester and another is end semester. Along with these exams, the University prepares the students for real life competition.

The total fee for VSSUT is about Rs. 41,000 per year. The University fee is Rs. 3,500. Admission fee is Rs. 250, a training and placement fee is Rs. 5,000, and caution money is Rs. 2,500, University development fee is Rs. 7,000 and tuition fee is Rs. 12,000 and include rest expenses. The University does not provide any scholarship but there are many scholarship sanctioned by the government for the students.

The professors are so friendly with the students. They are concerned about the student’s future. The teachers are highly qualified professionals who are best in terms of teaching. Almost all teachers use PPT to teach. They are very interactive and approachable to the students. The teacher student ratio is about 1:18. The teachers solve problems in a very efficient manner. The only problem with the professors is that they don’t not giving good grades to the students.

Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology has a dedicated placement cell which is very active during placement session. The placement cell prepares Students for placement interviews. Many renowned companies such as Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki and many other companies come here for recruitment. This University has highest package of 47 LPA, average package of 6 LPA and lowest package of 3 LPA.

Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology offers a lot of hostels for the hostellers. This University can accommodate all the students who are joining this University. The hostels have all the necessary facilities available. The only thing that they don't provide is Wi-Fi connection. There are about 9 boys hostels and 7 girls hostels. The mess food is of good quality and is hygienic. It provides 4 meals per day. Hostel fee is about Rs. 55,000 per year. The hostel entry timings are from 8 am to 6 pm in evening. The hostel Life is quite good.

Infrastructure wise, Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology is quite good. This University has a large campus area. It has a large administrative building and large and well maintained hostels. It is located in a good locality. It is nearer to the Hirakund Dam which is visible from the hostel. This University provides all the labs and has a large central library which accommodates all the necessary books for the students. The classrooms are quite big and have a seating capacity for about 80 students. The University is also equipped with auditorium and common hall. The sports facilities in University are very nice. This University provides about all types of sports opportunities.

The overall campus life is very interesting. The University is crowded and does not make it a boring University. There are so many clubs in our University which keep the students engaged. There are regular events organized by different clubs. This makes the life memorable. The fest is Vassaunt x Samavesh which is the annual fest of our University. The campus life is well and good. This University keeps us engaged in organizing different events and fests.
