CMRIT Bangalore Fee Structure and Scholarships

CMR Institute of Technology is situated in the prime area of Bangalore. It has a good placement ratio according to the other Institutes and the students are internally supported to do extracurricular activities like participating in various hackathon and sports which are taking place in other Institutes. The faculty members here are decent and all the instruments in labs are provided. The overall experience here is good as there are students who belong to different states and communities. There is no group division according to the states or communities like north and south. Major language spoken here is English.

I have taken bachelor of engineering in information science and engineering at CMR Institute of Technology. It is a computer science domain branch with accordance to today's situation I have taken this branch. Students can take admissions through COMEDK, KCET or management. Cutoff for CS related branches is around 23k to 55k in COMEDK. Two internal exams take place every semester and one external exam. The internal exam has a weight age of 50 percent and the externals weighs 50 percent of total grade.

The fees paid at CMR Institute of Technology are according to the mode of admission, through COMEDK the yearly fees is around Rs. 3,20,000 and through KCET it’s around Rs. 1,20,000. Scholarships include defense scholarships, merit based scholarship and other scholarships which are provided by the government.

The teachers teaching the fundamental subjects at CMR Institute of Technology have a Ph.D degree with them and rest are master’s degree holders. The teaching methods include teaching through smart boards, class discussion, and field trips for educational purposes. The teachers solve and explain the problems very easily. In a classroom total strength of students is 65 to 70 students to which 1 teacher are provided. Every 20 students are provided with a mentor who takes care of student’s academics and other Institute related problems.

There are 4 academics blocks in which 1 block is for 1st year students, 1 block is for architecture students and other 2 are for rest of the students. The campus of CMR Institute of Technology is spread over 8 acres and is situated in Whitefield which is a prime location in Bangalore and is surrounded by tech parks. Almost every type of book is provided in library and they also have online library through which a student could gather resources. Sports ground, canteen is also provided. There is no transport facility provided through Institute.

The overall campus life at CMR Institute of Technology is good and the Institute crowd is decent as this Institute comes under top 10 Institutes of Bangalore. Every state student is present here with different diversities. There are many clubs onto which students could take part. Institutes fest named ‘Culture’ and sports fest named ‘Spardha’ are also organized by the Institute. Different hackathon and other competitions are organized too. The campus life is overall decent as after the classes students play sports and almost every month some events are organized.
