College Life at JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad

Overall Rating
JNTUH College of Engineering is one of the top most engineering colleges in Hyderabad. Environment here is very good to gain knowledge.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Geotechnical Engineering as my Masters degree since I am interested in it. I got a good rank in PGECET so that I get selected. Students can also get admission in this college through GATE exam. Exams will be once in 3 to 4 months. The admission process is offline.
The fee for Master’s here is around Rs. 72,000 to 1 Lakh, depending on students at which category it got the seat. Few students get E-pass scholarship from government. For SC, ST, and minority students, it will give full fee reimbursement. GATE qualified students will get stipend of Rs. 12,800. OBC students will get partial fee reimbursement. We have to pay extra admission fee of Rs. 5,000 per year that also includes library and other charges.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members here are very experienced. They teach us using quality content using PPTs and sometimes using blackboards to clear the concept. Sometimes, they stay beyond college hours to help students. Student to faculty ratio can be improved though. The bonding between student and faculty is good.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell. Placements for B.Tech and M.Tech students are up to the mark. However, it can be improved for the students of other courses.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are two separate hostels for B.Tech and M.Tech students. For M.Tech students, a newly constructed hostel has good infrastructure and food compared to other hostels. It provides 3 meals a day. We have to pay mess fee of Rs. 2,000 per month. A caution deposit of Rs. 24,000 has to be paid for getting into hostel. Overall, it was good experience in hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has good infrastructure but needs to get refurbished since it is an old university. We have a good canteen with different of food items. Bank facilities are also there in the campus. The college has big sports complex for indoor games and for outdoor games, there is a big complex to play games.
 

Campus Rating
JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad is an emotion for me, since after getting into this college I have learnt many things. I have gained knowledge as well as life lessons as well. My friends and I have spent a lot of time in library after classes to read competitive exam books as well as roam at nights. Annually, we do have cultural nights, DJ nights, and events. In festivals too, we do celebrate and enjoy a lot. My experience of college is too good.

    It is the top 1 University in Telangana. I studied hard to get admission into this college. The faculty and placements was very good in this college. Although it is a university, everything you need is available here. You have a bright future ahead if you join this university.     At the beginning, before visiting college I had huge expectations on B.Tech college. This is because of watching movies. But when I visit the college, it is average. The college is in at remote area, with full of trees. It looks like a building is covered with trees. There we see a lot of monkeys as equal as students.
