Life at SEC Chennai: Academics & Other Activities

Overall Rating
The college has flexible learning and Choice Based Credit System, which is easy, and free to learn without any pressure so if you want have fun and gain knowledge, it is the best place for you. Here, this college promotes industry based learning. It has also signed many MOUs with companies. The institution gives importance to cultural and sports.
 

Academics Rating
I had chosen EEE, which has opportunities in both core, and IT sector as it is known to be an evergreen course. The admission process is through TNEA and eligibility is to be passed in HSC from any board with good percentage. The admission is purely merit based and management quota. the frequency of exam is 2 sem exam per year and 2 internal exam per sem
The yearly fee of the course for counseling students is 1.25 Lakh and upto Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 extra fee for lab and others. The scholarships like sports quota, merit based, etc. are also provided here.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers in SEC Chennai are mostly graduated and have doctorate. The faculty of this collage has few well-trained eligible staff with good teaching ability. Their method will be through PPTs. the faculty will solve and clear the problems & doubts easily. the student to teacher ratio will be 30:1 and. They are friendly and one or two will be strict.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus of SEC Chennai is near the campus of its constituency, Saveetha University. The college will have separate gate. The infrastructure of building and blocks is average. Classrooms are nice. It has seminar halls, library, 3 conference halls, auditorium, and many canteens inside the campus. Medical facilities are also provided by the college. The interior of the college is impressive (my favorite too) but exterior needs little bit improvement.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, campus will be friendly and enjoyable. No bunking classes as it mandatory to maintain 75 percent attendance. The college is crowded. SEC Chennai has many clubs like Yuva, Red Cross, Math Coders, etc. It also has many fests and festival celebrations like Celenza, drestin, Onam, and other cultural events.

    I joined this college 8 months ago. Since then it had been a very memorable experience out here. Let it be the infrastructure, quality of education, faculties, sports, academics, etc it was really great. The main highlight of this college is the pleasant environment.
