Banasthali Vidyapith is a fully residential women's college and is located in Newai, Rajasthan. I completed my graduation in B.Sc. (Home Science) from Banasthali and I totally recommend this college for all the girls who want to achieve something in their life. The best part about this college is its unique ideology of simple living and philosophy of the overall development of a woman. Banasthali is covered with green trees and has an amazing infrastructure. The college is affordable and offers a huge number of courses that you can choose from. The university not only offers higher education but also primary education to women. University strictly follows the aspects of Indian heritage for a better up liftment of women. Vidyapith also provides financial support to the students who need it in the form of Merit-cum need scholarships. Overall, Banasthali Vidyapith is hundreds percent recommended.

Admissions to Banasthali Vidyapith is only open for Women of all backgrounds and cultures, irrespective of their race, caste, or religion. At Banasthali you can enroll yourself in primary education or higher education. If you are going for higher education, there are a number of courses that you can choose from for your Graduation, Post graduation, or Ph.D. Some of these courses that are offered at the university are Aviation, MBA, Bachelor of Science, B.Com, M.Com, BA, MA, and Ph.D. in Computer Science, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Automation, etc. The University has evolved Five-fold activities also called Panchmukhi Shiksha that targets improving the Physical, Practical, Moral, Aesthetic, and Intellectual aspects of a woman. Besides, Vidyapith also offers internships in various courses. I studied B.Sc. Home Science from this institution and I am completely satisfied.

The faculty of Banasthali Vidyapith is one of the reasons this Institute is in the top 10 universities in India. The faculty of the Home Science department are all experienced and knowledgeable in their respective fields. They have immense knowledge of their subjects and are ready to help you out anytime. The best part is that the faculty also stays on the Vidyapith campus which makes it easier to contact them. The teachers are friendly and will guide you throughout the session. There was never a time when a teacher misbehaved or was rude. They are punctual with their work and all of them keep a track of the syllabus. They also make sure that the students get extra knowledge of subjects that they might require in the physical world. The teacher focuses on the individual students and is never biased. There is always an environment of enthusiasm and motivation because of our teachers.

The Placement cell of Banasthali Vidyapith helps students in choosing careers and provides information on employment trends of the world. They also help students apply for various job opportunities and make sure that they get placement in a proper company/organization. My course did not have a placement cell, however from what I have heard from my teachers it is good for other courses.

Banasthali Vidyapith is a fully residential Women's university and it is compulsory to stay in a hostel while you complete your studies at the university. I was in Banasthali for 3 long years and I was given a different hostel each year. When I was staying there some hostels were old and some were renovated and new. However, now, all the hostels are renovated and have proper furnishing that includes, beds with mattresses, study tables, fans, proper lighting, and mirrors. The Washrooms have more facilities and the wardens are polite and cooperative. The mess hall is big and can equip a lot of girls at the same time. If I am being honest, I miss my Hostel the most and one of the reasons is the food. The food at the hostel was so good! It was hot and tasty. A proper meal was prepared every day where we used to get Breakfast at 7 am-8 am, Lunch around 2 pm, snacks at around 5 pm, and dinner at 8 pm. The meal consisted of a balanced diet and we used to get a sweet dish every Tuesday.

The Infrastructure of Banasthali Vidyapith is amazing! The moment you set foot on the Banasthali campus you can feel the cool breeze and a change of ambiance. The campus of Banasthali Vidyapith is enormous. When you walk through the campus, you can watch all kinds of trees lined up along with flowers and birds. The roads are properly constructed and managed. The campus has a lot of canteens and shops for the students. When I was in Banasthali I never felt the need to go out of the campus to get anything. The food of the canteen is great and the infrastructure of the canteens is modern. The college buildings are well-maintained and so are the laboratories. The laboratories are well equipped with all the types of equipment and necessary tools. The university campus has a number of college buildings, each for one course and as you walk through the campus you will come across the teacher's residence. When you pass that you find the school and at the back of the campus there is a lake, which is the favorite place of all the students to visit on weekends. The campus also has a shooting range and also has an Aircraft hanger that accommodates more than a dozen aircraft.

Life at Banasthali is unique and every girl should experience it once in their lifetime. The reason I am saying this is because Banasthali teaches you how to become independent and manage all the day-to-day chores alongside your studies. Like any college, in Banasthali you get to make friends and enjoy with them. You get to celebrate each other's birthdays at midnight and go to the canteen to celebrate a special occasion. In Banasthali every course has its own fests and you can attend them and enjoy different dances and performances. The best festival of Banasthali is the Apaji Fest. The environment of the campus is different on the day of Apaji Mela. It is a 3-day fest where the campus is open for the local people of Newai and a huge Mela is organized with rides and lots of food and games stalls. On the 2nd day, a feast is organized for the staff and students of Banasthali where they are served Dal Batti and Churma. Banasthali has given me so many memories and I can say I am happy that I graduated from this university because it has taught me many things about surviving in the physical world.
