Campus Life in CGU Bhubaneswar: Education, Sports, & Events

Overall Rating
CGU Bhubaneswar has everything that is required to be called a good university. It has an exaggerating 110 acres of campus area, AC labs, Wi-Fi Campus, swimming pool, cricket, football Stadiums, Basketball court, Badminton court, etc. Faculties are average and restrictions in the university are minimum. Smoking and Drinking inside the campus is strictly prohibited. One can park their vehicles in the parking area. There are multiple parks and lawns inside the campus which are very good spots for time pass.
 

Academics Rating
The course chosen by me is CSIT, which is an all rounder course. I wanted to pursue this career so I chose it. The eligibility criteria are you have to get 75% in you 12th grade. The admission process in our college is simple as everything is online even your payments. You have to register for the college you appear for an exam called CGET. The frequency of the exams is frequent exam like surprise test and quizzes. The academics challenge us by its hectic schedule.
The fee structure is simple as there is no increment in the fee for throughout your 4 years of the course and my tuition fee is Rs. 2,25,000 per year. For hostel, it is Rs. 95,000 per year. There are scholarships but you have to show your worth for it.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties in CGU Bhubaneswar are great who are really kind and helpful. There are many faculty members who are new, we get to experience their unique teaching style, and many fun activities, which they make us, do. Senior professors are really cool with so much experience and knowledge. They are solving your doubts in a unique way and in very easy way. The bonding with our faculty is good.
 

Placement Rating
The university has 70% and there are many company visits, which I exactly do not know the number. 9 LPA is an average CTC that is kind of decent for a fresher with likes no experience or if you have done any internship then the chances of getting a decent CTC of about 12 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel in which I live in a pretty much decent as like how the boy’s hostel should be. It constantly maintains hygiene. Its food quality is decent. The gates are closed at 7 PM in the evening.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Talking about the infrastructure, CGU Bhubaneswar has many buildings, fields, labs, Clubhouses, Mess, cafeteria, library, classes and many more inside a 110-acre campus. There is huge well-maintained cricket ground, which is actively used for the matches.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life here is good. The university got a very large crowd of boys and girls who come here every year to pursue their dream courses. There are sufficient clubs and you can take part in any of them as per your interest. The college organizes multiple extracurricular activities to keep the students engaged and to build a good relationship and network among all the students. There is cultural fest called ‘Celegance’, which takes place annually. According to me, the campus life of the university is above average and may be considered as good.

    I'm in my second year. Till now my experience in this University is great. This University will provide you many opportunities and great mentors. I chose this University because my sibling is an alumni of CGU Odisha. In this University, the students can delay the fee payment which is not possible in other Universities.
