Build Future in CGU Odisha: Good Educators & Education

Overall Rating
I'm in my second year. Till now my experience in this University is great. This University will provide you many opportunities and great mentors. I chose this University because my sibling is an alumni of CGU Odisha. In this University, the students can delay the fee payment which is not possible in other Universities. This University provides more placement opportunities to girls. You'll be having great hackathons opportunities as well as great fest culture.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Tech in Computer Science. This is best and one of the most chosen branch. I chose this field because I have an interest in coding. For admission in this course, the students need to score 60% or more in their class 12th board. The students also need to qualify CGET, JEE, and OJEE. We have two exams per semester such as one mid semester exams and end semester exams. The academics of this University are average.
The fee of my course is Rs. 1,12,500/- per semester excluding all the other charges. The admission fee & registration fee is Rs. 14,000/- which is one time payment and is refundable. The University also provides discounts on the basis of the categories. The girl students are eligible for Pragati scholarship.
 

Faculty Rating
The Faculty members of every subject change every year. The faculty members have their education from IITs or NITs. The teaching method include blackboard, GD, projectors, PPTs, etc. Faculties are good in their respected fields because they are highly qualified. They solve all the doubts of the students. The teacher to student ratio is 1:30. The teachers are approachable and we have a good bonding with the teachers.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the CGU Odisha has a placement cell. The coordinator of the cell is very approachable, friendly, and supportive. The cell makes the students industry ready and also checks their resumes and CV’s. They make sure that every student gets placed. They conduct various placement drives. The companies such as TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Mahindra visit our campus. I didn’t get placed because right now I am in my second year.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the University provides hostel facilities to the students. We have 5 hostels for boys and 4 hostels for girls. The hostels are average. The hostels have 4 floors and they can accommodate 2000 students. The hostel has all the facilities such as washing machine, gym, cafeteria, and a mess. The mess food is average. Hostel fee is Rs. 1,00,000/- per year. The timing of the hostel is 6:30 PM. Overall, the hostel experience is average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of this University is spread over 110 acres. The classrooms are newly constructed and each classroom can accommodate 100 students. The campus has 2 libraries, auditorium, conference halls, etc. The University also has canteen, medical facilities, and transportation facilities. My favorite part of this University is lab.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life at CGU Odisha is average. The campus crowd is extremely talented and they also motivate others. There are several clubs and communities for students’ growth and development. The University organise various extracurricular activities. They also conduct fest called Celegance. Overall, the campus life is great till now.

    CGU Bhubaneswar has everything that is required to be called a good university. It has an exaggerating 110 acres of campus area, AC labs, Wi-Fi Campus, swimming pool, cricket, football Stadiums, Basketball court, Badminton court, etc. Faculties are average and restrictions in the university are minimum.
