Prospects of SSITS Taliparamba: Course, Academics, Events, & Many More

Overall Rating
Factors that made me choose this institute is that it offers the course of my choice and it was near my home. The difference from other institutions is that there are good subjects. It has a great lab facility in the entire Kerala. It is affiliated to Kannur University. Overall, I have an average experience in this institution.
 

Academics Rating
The course that I took is B.Sc Biotechnology. You have to score good percentage in your 12th boards to get in merit list for this subject that is having above 70% in PCB/PCBM. End semester examinations are based on date given by Kannur University. But faculty conducts other exams as they wish like as unit test and as internal exams. Biotechnology offers various opportunities including medical laboratory works and to work as a research scientist.
For B.Sc biotechnology, the tuition fee is Rs. 13,000 per semester Admission fee, tuition fee, library fee, lab fee, and all other fee Rs. is 20,000. If you are joining through management quota, you will have to pay management fee as well. SC/ST students have discounts. Any national scholarships can be applied here.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties in Biotechnology department are good. They like to teach and support every extracurricular activity. For teaching, we have blackboard and projector facilities. Faculties are very friendly to students and help if there is any problem in academics or for any other causes. I don’t know more about other departments. Anyway, teachers are strict when they are supposed to be strict. Most time, they are friendly and teach and with good enthusiasm.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell is there. I don't know more about it, as I am a first year student.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 4 blocks in our institution. A, B, C, and D. Campus has a less area. It has a great parking space behind C block. Sir Syed Institute and Sir Syed College shares one big auditorium. Institute has a seminar hall, great lab facility in Kerala, normal library. It now has a temporary canteen. There is security at front gate. The favorite part is C block.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, I have a nice experience. College crowd is great. There are various clubs or various departments, other clubs are music, sports, tourism, etc. There is NSS and NSS clubs. I am part of NCC. Every day, there will be program arranged by different departments. Overall, it is nice experience to be a part of well-known institution. You can engage in extracurricular activities and Kalolsavam programs. College gives you full support for that.

    My overall experience at SSIT Taliparamba has been a wonderful journey. Initially I had troubles adapting to this institute but later I was able to cope up. This institute is a self-financing institute and it provides many courses.     Sir Syed Institute For Technical Studies Taliparamba is a well known self financing institute affiliated to Kannur University. SSITS provides various courses especially in Management and Science stream. Almost 1500 students are studying in this institute.
