College of Engineering Perumon: Insights on Placement and Academic Life

Overall Rating
College provides 80 percent of placement guarantee. Faculties are well qualified at College of Engineering Perumon. College held good technical events every year. It has a good pass percentage overall. It’s the second best college in Kollam. College of Engineering Perumon has a campus that is spread in a vast area. Sports and arts programs are very good and very active. It has good networks and systems. This college is close to bus stops and very near to the railway station called Perinad.
 

Academics Rating
I choose B.Tech in Computer Science due to its vast opportunities in the field and it is more close to technology related topics. As Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning is the current trend and most trending, Computer Science is a very good option in our college. Entry requires a closing rank of around 22,000 in Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Examination. Admission can be applied through KEAM allotment process and NRI seats are available too. Academic paths take us to tech how to survive in the society smartly.
Per year there is two kind of fee structure. One is the state merit fee and that is about Rs. 35,000 and the second is the Management fee and that's about Rs. 65,000.
 

Faculty Rating
Computer Science faculties are the best in College of Engineering Perumon. Their support and guidance helps you in achieving great heights. Programming skills can be developed by their support and proper teaching. Programming languages like C Programming, Java, Python, C+,C++ are taught and flutter are also provide to study. There are a total of 20 faculties in Computer Department and 15-18 for other departments. Faculties are very kind and very friendly to students and their care means a lot.
 

Placement Rating
Every year a number of good companies are approaching our college to recruit freshers to their companies. Placement cell provides guidance to students in getting placed and suggest companies. Average packages offered are 7 to 8 lakh per annum.
 

Hostel Rating
Currently, the hostel at College of Engineering Perumon is under construction.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus consists of mainly 4 building or blocks for each department that is Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical and Mechanical Department. There is a separate building for administrative purposes. Another sub or small buildings include Physics Lab, Thermal Lab, Mechanical Lab and PT room. Canteen is situated near to the Computer Science department. Football Ground, Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, Indoor Badminton Court are there for the Physical Department. Everyone's favorite spot is the Football ground as it’s is vast and more spacious.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is very good. The crowd is average at College of Engineering Perumon. Campus provides many technical and cultural events which makes college life more exciting. Many clubs are there and one of such club is the dance club. It's the most active and more crowded club in the entire campus. Student’s kind of flood into the programs conducted by the dance club. Many other clubs are there that is the Computer Science society which deals with technology.

    I am actually not fully satisfied in joining this college. I repeated 1 year to get admission in a better college unfortunately I got a low rank, so the better option was to join this college as it is the second best college in Kollam.     Actually, there are several reasons for choosing this institution. first of all placements, I checked the placement rate of college before getting admission and I found that 60 to 70% of Computer Science students are placed on previous two years. Second one is events and celebrations conducted on college like Onam celebration, etc. I also research about the events conducted through their instagram page and I get impressed so that I blindly choose this college instead of other colleges....     It is one of the top two colleges in Kollam and that is my first reason to choose this college, and the second one is placements. Most of the CS students got placements in previous years. I strongly suggest the students living in Kollam and would like to study in their home district to join this college because the events, tech fest and other things are far better than other colleges.
