Admission in Mechanical Engineering in PCE Navi Mumbai

My overall experience is very good in PCE Navi Mumbai. In our locality, Navi Mumbai, Rasayani, this college is best in studies. We have fun in college with good surroundings and very big campus to explore. The students are very friendly and easy to make friends with. Different thing about this college is that this college is autonomous, which means the exam timetable, curricular activities, festival, year end, and all the factor are scheduled by the college itself, there is no government involved. All the paper set by college teachers too, so whatever they taught in the college that only comes in exam. Any festival is there, we celebrate together in college. The atmosphere is such; you would not want to leave. It is the best. It teaches you to be independent. You will find in other colleges lectures, practical exams and boring classes, it does not happen like that here, there is fun in lectures. Teachers show us real life experience. Whatever you do not understand, you can solve that doubt any time whenever you want. The faculty is always there for you.

The course chosen by me is Mechanical Engineering. There are studies of Quantum Physics, Fluid Mechanics, Kinematics, etc. in this course. I enrolled in it because I like Machines, Coding, and Math. The course is all about Machines and Robots, so if you like production of robots, etc. then you should join Mechanical Engineering. To be eligible for joining, you should get above 65% in Chemistry, Physics, and Math in your 12th class and also give the entrance exam of CET in PCM. Admission process has limited seats. You have to apply for it online or offline. If you cover all these grades in HSC Science and CET in high scoring marks, then you will get the admission. In every semester, there are 5 subjects. In that you have to give first internal assessments, practical exams all the submissions. Then you can appear for end sem exams. Academics prepare you for real-life challenges by having advance practical knowledge. Visits in industry are also done as college’s extracurricular activity.

For open category students, the fee is Rs. 1,30,000, for EBC/OBC students it is Rs. 75,000, and for SC/ST category it is Rs. 4,000. These fees should be paid yearly. I am from open category, the fee includes tuition fees of about Rs. 60,000, college fees of Rs. 40,000, the admission fees of Rs. 10,000, library fees Rs. 10,000, exam fees Rs. 5,000 and placement cell fee Rs. 5,000. There are scholarships for financial aid students and for general students, college faculty provides them with scholarships as per by their eligibility criteria of their family background.

Faculty members’ teaching is of very advanced level. They make difficult things easier so that student can understand the questions and the topics. All the faculty is mostly from Kerala. They are very well educated in masters and very perfect in their specific subject. Problem solving ability of faculty is, they are very helpful in nature whatever you face issue, they will always help. Teachers-students ratio as per college is good. There is a huge crowd in every department, and there are many teachers equally. Bonding of faculty is good they know the problem of students and help them through it.

There is placement cell in every field they place students as per students’ interest and package of students’ interest. The cell helps individual students to acquire jobs by their marks. Every year 3rd and 4th year students get an opportunity to give campus interviews in reputed companies like Tata, Amazon, Microsoft, and many more multinational companies that visit the college. Average package is 6 LPA and highest is 50 LPA. Placement experience is until now is good I got internship in college.

PCE Navi Mumbai offers residential facilities. It has its big hostel, which has around 9-10 floors and different wings. Total there are around 900 rooms and a gym for the hostellers. Girls and boys are separate. Monthly fees of hostel are around Rs. 10,000. Mess food is great. Students cannot go outside after 10 PM. No trespassing, no ragging, no illegal substances like cigarettes or alcohol are allowed. In case found, the student will be expelled from college.

There are around 6-7 buildings of different fields. Big surroundings like play grounds, parks, canteen, cafeteria, parking, etc are available. In classrooms, there are 200 students capacity. There is AC, E- learning class, first aid, and fire extinguisher too. There are around 4-5 different libraries of different fields and it has all the academic books you want. There are many kinds of labs like AutoCAD Lab, Drawing Lab, Mechanics Lab, Chemistry Lab, BEEE Lab, etc. with high quality and quantity as well. Seminar halls, auditoriums, and conference halls are also there and everything is systematic. There are yearly sports competitions held in student interest. Team games as well as solo games are played. You can go further in sports by joining the college sports team and play in all college level competitions. There is a medical room on every floor. College bus is there for transport if you want. Security checks every student’s ID card and they do not allow you to enter in college without it. Other facilities like gym dance, music, instruments, are there in college. My favorite thing to do after a break is going to the cafeteria with friends to eat some snacks. Infrastructure is very good in college I like to walk in corridors.

My campus life at PCE Navi Mumbai is great with good friends and amazing campus. College crowd is energetic and friendly. There are clubs like ASIMESA, ISHRAE, Tapas-PCE, Sports Club, etc. I was the Sports Secretary in 2nd year. There are plenty of activities to can explore. Every year there is festival of joy called ‘Euphoria’. Lot of fun happens in the event and we all share experiences and memories. Campus life is fun loving.
