SRMIST Vadapalani: Quality Education & Placement Opportunities

SRM University Vadapalani provides quality education and experienced faculty. The campus has modern facilities and supports strong placement. It is a great place to learn. The reason I chose this college is that SRM is a brand in education. Moreover, it has NAAC A++ rating. It provides good placement opportunities with better packages. The other reason for choosing this college is due to short distance from my home to the college and it is located in the centre of the city.

I chose B.Com general because I am planning to write professional courses. B.Com is a great foundation for professional courses like CA, CMA, CS, and MBA. It covers Accounting, Finance, Business Law, and Taxation making it easier to clear these exams. Eligibility to join this college is you need to score minimum 60% in 12th board exams. Each semester contains of 4 exams: 2 CT exam, 1 model exam, and finally semester exam. Generally, B.Com degree helps in real life by improving financial management, business decision-making, understanding taxation, and corporate laws. It prepares you for jobs in Banking, Accounting, and Business.

The fee for B.Com program is Rs. 93,000 for first year and Rs. 83,000 for the next two years. In total, it becomes Rs. 2,59,000. The fee is reasonable as per the education and facilities.

At SRMIST Vadapalani, the faculty to student ratio is quite good. Students can get personal attention when needed. Most of the professors are kind, approachable, and willing to help students whenever needed. The faculties are well educated, their method of teaching includes black board, PPTs, and group discussion which help to understand the concepts thoroughly. The faculties have good problem solving ability, which helps students to understand the complex topics.

There are better placement opportunities with better packages in SRM Vadapalani campus. Many big companies visited during placements like TCS, CTS, Infosys, Wipro, and many more. Highest package for B.Com is 4.5 LPA while the lowest is 1.8 LPA. 80 to 85% students get placements during campus drive.

The campus of this university is comparatively smaller than other branches but has modern infrastructure & facilities such as labs, library, and auditorium. It covers approximately 5 acres of area. Each classroom has a seating capacity of 60 but it may vary according to the department. My favorite thing as a part of the college infrastructure is the all the classrooms are air-conditioned. The university offers a range of options for sports like cricket, football, basketball, and volleyball.

Campus life at SRMIST Vadapalani is full of opportunities to get involved in various activities. The campus can feel bit crowded because of so many students studying. There are also clubs for music, dance, and arts where students can display their talent. Fests and events are frequently conducted for students, which helps them to socially connect.
