GCETTS Serampore: A Century-Old Institution

The teaching skill of staff in GCETTS Serampore is very nice. They help each student to upgrade his or her skill. This college is very nice and in this college sports cultural program debate competition and dance music all is going well and so many activities like tree plantations like program. The college always helps us for scholarship matters, it also provide the good students job campus. The college is very good. Studying here is nice and one can definitely opt for this college.

I got GCETTS Serampore after my entrance exam. This college was my first choice because I have research about it and I found that this college provides an excellent education for Engineering as compared to other colleges and the faculty was also great. The course have total 8 semesters with every semester having an end semester exam. We also have continuous assessments throughout each semester which I clues projects, technical reports and internal exams. The difficulty is there but not too high. It's average difficulty.

I have paid Rs. 24,000 per year and semester wise Rs. 12,000. In that, Rs. 6,000 is tuition fee and rest is for other activities. I did not get any type scholarship because my father is a government employee.

So the faculty is really great and helps a lot. The teachers/professors have lots of experience with lots of accolades. They provide good guidance to the students.

There are good placements for TT and APM. For IT and CSE, placements are not up to the mark. Our TPO tries its best to make it good for our future. Campus placements will be better in the near future. Many companies will reach our college. I hope everyone will be placed.

The campus is not much flashy. The buildings are old since the college was established for more than a 100 years. The playing ground is good. The lecture theatres got that old vibe of British India. Our college has 4 departments, and labs are available. The infrastructure of labs is moderate, like that of average government colleges. Wi-Fi is available in college. Classrooms are in average condition. It is enough for learning. Hostel facilities are available. The canteen is also in average condition. If you want to play any games, you can join this college. The library has a collection of 12000 documents including books, journals, reports, proceedings, pamphlets, and lab-manuals etc. Many books for the semester exams and programming are provided in the library. Our course has good infrastructure but not so well and clean compared to private colleges.

The big program of GCETTS Serampore 'Texavision' that is arranged around January. The tech fest is conducted in the same time. In this tech fest all the students have to compete with others. The student union organises different programs and fests.
