Overall Rating
My experience at Poornima College of Engineering has been good. The college is located in the outskirts of the city but city. Students can reach the college in 10 minutes with a vehicle. I wanted to pursue my Bachelors from Jaipur and this was the best option. I chose this college because it offered my choice of specialization with the Engineering stream. Students have to follow specific dress code during classes. The faculties are really good, the hostel facilities are excellent, and the campus environment is enjoyable.

Academics Rating
My chosen course is Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in CSE branch with Cyber Security specialization. The entry requirement for my course is attaining minimum 70 percentile in JEE main exam. The course curriculum has various coding languages like C, C++, and python. It makes the students industry ready as they are able to excel in coding tests conducted during placement interviews. Each semester has 2 mid-terms and 1 end-term exam.
The fee structure can be different depending upon chosen specialization. For my course, the annual tuition fee was Rs. 1,20,000. The college does not offer any scholarships. Students also have to pay some additional charges at the time of admission.

Faculty Rating
Each subject has at least 10 teachers and most of them have attained doctorate degree in their respective field. They treat students as their own children and are committed to improve their learning experience. Most professors at the college are approachable, experienced, and helpful. They use their expertise to explain concepts easily and clear doubts of the students within minutes. They also help students in their projects. Most of the teachers use PPTs for their lectures except for the Mathematics faculty. The teacher student ratio is 1 teacher for 80 students.

Placement Rating
Poornima College of Engineering has active placement services. The average or median package is very low at only 3.5 LPA which needs to be improved. Till now, the highest package offered at the college is 44 LPA. Many reputed companies visit on-campus placement drives of the college like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, etc.

Hostel Rating
The college provides residential facilities which are separately available to male and female students. The boys’ hostel is called Gurushikhar and girls’ hostel is named Gayatri. The hostel basement has a well maintained Gym. The quality of food served at the mess needs to be improved. Students are provided milk in the morning and night. Students need to be in the hostel premises by 8 P.M. The hostel environment is peaceful and there has never been any case of ragging because the hostel warden is extremely strict. The hostel fee is Rs. 1,27,000 for duct rooms and Rs. 1,62,000 for AC rooms.

Infrastructure Rating
There are 3 academic buildings at Poornima College of Engineering. 1 building is allotted to the 1st year students and the remaining 2 buildings are for rest of the students. The classrooms are good but there is no air conditioning available which needs to be improved. The canteen is open for 12 hours from 10 A.M to 11 P.M. The college has a basketball and volleyball ground. The library is one of my favourite spots in the college as it is a great place for studying and unwinding.

Campus Rating
My campus life has been great and the student population at the college is exceptional as you can easily find people with many skills. There are 19 clubs in total run by the student council and at present I am in the technical societies club. The college conducts 2 fests every year which are called ‘Aarohan’ and ‘Aadhar’. These fests are very enjoyable as they include concerts and other extracurricular activities. Many renowned artists have performed in the past at our college. Recently, Sunidhi Chouhan and Javed Ali gave performances at these fests. In total the campus life is enjoyable if you create a fun friend circle.
