Overall Rating

My experience at Poornima College of Engineering has been good. The college is located in the outskirts of the city but city. Students can reach the college in 10 minutes with a vehicle. I wanted to pursue my Bachelors from Jaipur and this was the best option. I chose this college because it offered my choice of specialization with the Engineering stream. Students have to follow specific dress code during classes. The faculties are really good, the hostel facilities are excellent, and the campus environment is enjoyable.

Faculty Rating

Each subject has at least 10 teachers and most of them have attained doctorate degree in their respective field. They treat students as their own children and are committed to improve their learning experience. Most professors at the college are approachable, experienced, and helpful. They use their expertise to explain concepts easily and clear doubts of the students within minutes. They also help students in their projects. Most of the teachers use PPTs for their lectures except for the Mathematics faculty. The teacher student ratio is 1 teacher for 80 students.

Hostel Rating

The college provides residential facilities which are separately available to male and female students. The boys’ hostel is called Gurushikhar and girls’ hostel is named Gayatri. The hostel basement has a well maintained Gym. The quality of food served at the mess needs to be improved. Students are provided milk in the morning and night. Students need to be in the hostel premises by 8 P.M. The hostel environment is peaceful and there has never been any case of ragging because the hostel warden is extremely strict. The hostel fee is Rs. 1,27,000 for duct rooms and Rs. 1,62,000 for AC rooms.

My campus life has been great and the student population at the college is exceptional as you can easily find people with many skills. There are 19 clubs in total run by the student council and at present I am in the technical societies club. The college conducts 2 fests every year which are called ‘Aarohan’ and ‘Aadhar’. These fests are very enjoyable as they include concerts and other extracurricular activities. Many renowned artists have performed in the past at our college. Recently, Sunidhi Chouhan and Javed Ali gave performances at these fests. In total the campus life is enjoyable if you create a fun friend circle.
