General Outlook of BCET Durgapur

Overall Rating
I am a third year student in BCET Durgapur and I want to say that some faculties are very much good and make us capable to learn new things, how to face problems, and solve it in future. Overall environment is supportive, and I will give 9 out of 10 because the campus is very small. My college is too good for taking admission and pursuing their course smoothly at an affordable price.
 

Academics Rating
I chose a Bachelor of Technology specialization in Computer Science & Engineering. In case of exams, there are CA1, CA 2, CA 3, and CA 4 in a semester. If a student attends classes daily, so they will be able to crack tough all the exams through their own preparation.
The current fee structure is little higher than the one when I was in this college in 1st year.
 

Faculty Rating
In my opinion, as a 3rd year student, the faculty is overall good. In fact, some faculties are very intelligent, but students are not capable of understanding that. They are teaching on the green board with chalk. Faculties and student bonding is all good. Some faculties are from IIT and NIT, and some from good colleges with good grades. Don't judge a book by its cover as all of them know how to build a good future Engineer.
 

Placement Rating
Overall, I am in my 3rd year, and currently I do not get any type of internship from college. However, I do know that placement is good, but this year they were not up to the mark.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel in-charge and wardens are good by nature and take care of students like parents. Yes, boys’ and girls’ hostels are separate. Mess food can be improved though. Hostellers have to follow the rules & regulations of the hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of BCET Durgapur is compact in size. However, all the facilities required by the students are available inside the campus. The locality is good though. There is library in the campus. Sports facilities are also provided by the college.
 

Campus Rating
At last, BCET Durgapur is too good. There are so many technical and non-technical clubs, where students are chosen on the basis of the interview process and their capabilities. Every year, my college conducts a fest, which provides best experience. Environment is very friendly and I suggest to the students to take admission and my college to take capable students.

    Bengal College of Engineering and Technology (BCET), it is in Durgapur, West Bengal. Our college offered many courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, BBA, MBA, etc. In B.Tech there are many branches like CSE, IT, Civil, Mechanical, ECE, EE, and AIML etc. This college is good for middle class family student who can't afford to take admission in big college because the fee structure is very low i.e., 370000 for 4 years of B.Tech course in CSE department....
